Overview
People research a financial firm longer than almost any other business, and every claim on the page can be checked

Choosing a bank, an adviser or a lender is a trust decision. People compare rates and fees, read the fine print, look up registrations and ask friends and AI assistants before they open an account or book a first meeting. A website that is vague about fees, slow on a phone or full of claims nobody approved loses them, and can create a compliance problem at the same time.
Financial marketing also runs under rules that most industries don't have. Investment advisers, broker-dealers and banks each have their own advertising requirements, and many firms send every page through a compliance review. The site has to be built so that review is quick: claims sourced, disclosures in the right places and a record of what changed.
We build and market sites for financial firms including Compound Wealth Advisors, a fee-only adviser in San Diego. Law firms have their own page: see law firm website design and SEO. Accounting and tax practices are covered on our accounting and tax page.

What makes marketing a financial firm different
The buyer is cautious, the regulator is watching and the product is often invisible. Each of these changes what the site needs to say and how it gets approved.
Adviser marketing has its own rule
SEC-registered investment advisers follow the SEC Marketing Rule (17 CFR 275.206(4)-1), which covers testimonials, endorsements, third-party ratings and performance. State-registered advisers follow their state's rules instead, so the first question is who regulates you.
Broker-dealer pages need approval
FINRA Rule 2210 requires a registered principal to approve retail communications, and some must be filed with FINRA. A website workflow has to leave room for that sign-off.
Deposit insurance wording is regulated
For banks, FDIC rules (12 CFR Part 328) cover how membership is shown and prohibit misrepresenting what is insured. That affects your digital banking pages and any page that mentions non-deposit products.
Fees and rates must be current
Out-of-date rates, fee schedules or minimums erode trust fast and can mislead. Rates and fees need one source of truth with a date, so a change is made once and shows everywhere.
Trust is checked, not assumed
People look up registrations, read disclosure documents and search for complaints. Making credentials, ownership, registrations and key documents easy to find answers that check before it starts.
Security is part of the brand
A financial site that looks neglected or asks for sensitive data on an open form undermines everything else. Forms should collect only what is needed for a callback, and anything more belongs in your secure systems.
How we work
How we build a financial site that earns trust and passes review

We start with who regulates you and who approves marketing. That decides which claims we can make, which disclosures go where, and how the review step fits into publishing. We keep a source for every fact on the site, such as a rate sheet, a Form ADV or a fee schedule, so your compliance reviewer can check a page against its source instead of re-reading everything.
Then we organize the site around the decisions people make: open an account, refinance, plan for retirement, choose an adviser, finance a business. Each gets a clear page that explains the product or service, who it fits, what it costs or how fees work, and how to start. Educational content answers the questions people ask before they commit, written to inform rather than promise outcomes.
Search work follows products and places: local SEO and Google Business Profiles for branches and offices, product and service pages for the searches people actually use, and clear firm facts for AI answer engines, which more people now ask for an adviser or a bank. If you need a client portal, calculator or other custom tool built, our financial software development team handles that.

The process
How the work runs
Four stages, with compliance review built into the plan rather than added at the end.
Regulatory and audience review
We confirm who regulates your marketing, who approves it, which products matter most and where prospects drop off today.
Site plan
We map pages to products, services and locations, list the sources and disclosures each page needs, and agree on the review process.
Design, build and review
We design and build the site, route pages through your compliance review, and check speed, accessibility and form security before launch.
Grow and report
Each month we work on local search, content and AI visibility, keep rates and facts current, and report on applications and appointments.

FAQ
Questions financial firms ask us
Can you work with our compliance team?
Yes. We build review into the schedule, keep a source for every claim and give your reviewer a clear list of what changed. Your compliance team keeps final approval on everything published. We are your web and search team, not your compliance counsel.
Can we use client reviews and testimonials?
It depends on how you are regulated. SEC-registered advisers can use testimonials under the Marketing Rule with required disclosures and oversight; state-registered advisers, broker-dealers and banks have their own rules. We plan reviews only after your compliance lead confirms what applies.
How does SEO help a bank or adviser?
People search for specific products and questions, such as a business loan in their town or a fee-only adviser near them, and they ask AI assistants for recommendations. Clear product pages, local profiles and accurate firm facts help you show up for those searches and answers.
Do you build calculators, portals or online applications?
We connect the site to the systems you already use, and our financial software development team builds custom tools where needed, keeping sensitive data in secure systems rather than in website forms.
How long does a financial services website take?
Usually a few months, depending on the number of products, locations and integrations, and on how long compliance review takes. We'll give you a timeline with your proposal that includes review time.
What does it cost?
Our pricing page lists our monthly SEO plans and lets you estimate a custom website. Request a proposal above for a quote based on your firm and goals.
