What is Force7 Training?

Force7 Training is the trading name of Force7, Inc., a private company that teaches people to pass IT, cybersecurity and business certification exams. Its motto is "Excellence in IT Instruction." The core product is live, instructor-led training: a real instructor teaching in real time, with hands-on labs and exam preparation, rather than recorded videos you watch alone. The company describes itself as "a nationwide IT and business training company" serving "commercial, government, and defense organizations throughout the United States."

According to its About page, Force7 started in November 2010 as GlobalTec Training Solutions, LLC in Colorado Springs, and incorporated as Force7, Inc. in 2013. Its first contract, the company says, was with the U.S. Air Force Academy, where it trained more than 80 military and civilian personnel onsite. The site now lists two offices: a corporate headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina and a regional operations office in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Training is the center of the business, but the Services page lists four lines of work:

  • Certification training across vendors such as CompTIA, AWS, Microsoft, Cisco, Juniper, VMware and Google Cloud, plus project management, Agile, cybersecurity and AI.
  • Custom courseware and curriculum for software, hardware or compliance needs that standard courses don't cover.
  • Unity software and simulation development, built by its team of Unity developers.
  • IT consulting and workforce development: skills-gap assessments, certification roadmaps and training plans.

Its customers fall into two groups on the site. Organizations: corporate IT teams, government and military, higher education, nonprofits, and managed service providers (MSPs) and technology companies. Individuals: career seekers, veterans, active-duty service members, working professionals who want to move up, and anyone who wants private one-on-one training.

Is Force7 Training legit?

People ask this before committing a team's training budget, or their own savings, to a provider they haven't used. Here is what can be checked in public records and on the site:

  • A registered Colorado corporation. Colorado's Secretary of State business records list Force7 Inc. as a domestic profit corporation formed on 22 November 2010, with the status "Good Standing" when we checked, and Joe Anthony Cruz as registered agent. The mailing address on file is 3472 Research Pkwy, Ste. 104, Colorado Springs, the same street address the website publishes.
  • Federal contract history. USAspending.gov, the federal government's spending database, lists four Department of Defense contract awards to Force7 Inc between 2012 and 2015: two from the Air Force (one described as "technical training, instructor led" and one as "Security Plus training"), one from the Navy ("Oracle Database 11G") and one from the Army ("Security + training").
  • Federal business identifiers. The site publishes its DUNS number (965729200), CAGE code (67EP2), SIC code 7373 and NAICS codes 611420, 611430, 541519, 541511 and 541512. NAICS 611420 is the federal code for computer training. Government buyers can look these up in SAM.gov.
  • Named founders and a published address and phone lines. The site names its co-founders, Joe and Desire’ Cruz, and lists two phone numbers, an email address and office hours on every page.
  • Written terms. It publishes Terms of Service, a Privacy Policy and an Accessibility Statement, all dated 30 June 2026.
  • Its own published figures. The company says its instructors average 4.5 out of 5 on student evaluations and that it has a 97% first-attempt certification pass rate. The About page ties the 97% figure to its founding Air Force Academy cohort of more than 80 people. These are the company's own numbers; it does not publish the underlying data. Its Terms also state that it "does not guarantee any particular certification, examination result, employment outcome, or business result."

The site's Reviews page shows testimonials collected by the company itself. If outside references matter to you, ask Force7 for one from an organization like yours.

Who owns and runs Force7?

The About page introduces two co-founders, under the heading "Built from the Ground Up by Joe & Desire' Cruz."

  • Joe Cruz, Co-Founder & Visionary. The site says he has more than 27 years of corporate sales experience and over a decade in the training industry, and that he holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Technology from Colorado Technical University. It says he volunteers with the Colorado Springs Rescue Mission. Colorado business records list Joe Anthony Cruz as the corporation's registered agent.
  • Desire’ Cruz, Co-Founder. The site says she has more than 20 years of sales and management experience and handles hiring, partnerships and marketing strategy. It says she was born and raised in the Netherlands, speaks five languages, and holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice Administration and a Master of Science in Administration of Justice and Security.

The Veterans page describes Force7 as "founded by a family with deep military ties," and the About page says Desire’ Cruz's father served in both the Dutch Army and the U.S. Army. The company says a portion of its profits supports veterans, military families, anti-human-trafficking programs, homeless shelters and humanitarian relief organizations. It does not publish amounts.

Who teaches the classes?

Force7 says every course is taught by a senior instructor with 20 or more years of hands-on industry experience. Its hiring standard, as stated on the home page, is that instructors are "vetted through rigorous interviews with a minimum 10 years of teaching," and "most have 20+ years in their specialization." Several pages say many of its instructor partners "author the textbooks" for their fields.

The Instructors page names one instructor: Ryan, Senior Cybersecurity Instructor, described as having more than two decades of experience in cybersecurity operations, instruction and DoD compliance, and as having prepared hundreds of students for CISSP, Security+ and CySA+. The rest of the instructor bench is listed by specialty (Cloud and AWS, CompTIA and Networking, Project Management, Developer and Programming, Microsoft and OS, Cybersecurity) without names when we checked.

What services does Force7 offer?

The Services page groups everything Force7 sells into these offerings:

Specific certifications named across the solution pages include CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CySA+ and CASP+; CISSP and CISM; PMP and CAPM; Lean Six Sigma; ITIL v4 "Foundation through Strategist"; Cisco CCNA, CCNP and CCNA-Security; and AWS Solutions Architect. If you need something not listed, the company says it builds custom courses and "can usually open a custom cohort."

A note on the catalog. When we checked on 22 October 2026, the site's course catalog and schedule pages did not yet list individual courses or class dates (the menu read "Courses coming soon," and the schedule showed no sessions). The site directs you to request a quote or call for the course you need.

DoD 8140 and 8570 baseline certification training

A large part of Force7's work, by its own description, is helping military and Defense Department personnel earn the certifications their jobs require. Background: the Department of Defense sets qualification rules for people who work on its information systems. The older rules were in DoD 8570.01-M. DoD Manual 8140.03, signed on 15 February 2023, cancelled 8570.01-M and allows certifications, as well as training, degrees and on-the-job assessments, to count toward qualification. Which credential a person needs depends on their work role, so check your role's requirement with your command or contracting officer.

Force7's Government & Military page maps commonly used baseline certifications to the familiar 8570-era role categories. A shortened version of its table:

CategoryLevel / roleCertifications Force7 lists
IAT (Information Assurance Technical)Level IA+ CE, CCNA-Security, Network+ CE
IATLevel IICCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP
IATLevel IIICASP+ CE, CCNP-Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH
IAM (Information Assurance Management)Levels I to IIICAP, GSLC, Security+ CE, CASP+ CE, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), CCISO
IASAE (Architect & Engineer)Levels I to IIICASP+ CE, CISSP (or Associate), CSSLP, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP
CSSP (Cyber Security Service Provider)Analyst, Infrastructure Support, Incident Responder, Auditor, ManagerCEH, CFR, CySA+, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, SSCP, CISA, CISM, CHFI and others

The company says it delivers "most DoD 8140 baseline certification courses" in classroom, live virtual and private tutoring formats, and provides exam vouchers, onsite testing where applicable, and exam prep during and after training. The Active Military page names CompTIA Security+ as a core IAT Level II baseline and offers day and evening cohorts on base or live online.

Training for government, companies, schools, nonprofits and MSPs

Government and military

Force7 says its management team has more than 15 years of direct experience working with active-duty service members, civilians, government employees and defense contractors. It lists installations, agencies and contractors it says it has trained, including the U.S. Air Force Academy, Peterson and Schriever Space Force Bases, Fort Carson, F.E. Warren Air Force Base, U.S. Navy Supply FLC, Canadian Forces Base Gagetown, the Hawaii Air Guard, the FBI and the TSA, as well as defense contractors. It says it competes in federal bids, including international ones, and offers "capabilities briefings" for units and agencies. Beyond certification courses, it lists Unity simulation for mission rehearsal, custom courseware, IT consulting and NIST/NICE workforce training.

Corporate IT teams

For mid-market and enterprise companies, Force7 offers three models: private group training for 5 or more people (onsite, in hotel meeting space anywhere in the US, or in its Colorado Springs classroom), live virtual classes for one or many staff, and custom curriculum for a platform rollout, migration or compliance need. It says it sends a custom quote within 24 hours. Popular corporate topics it lists include project management, cybersecurity, cloud, networking, Microsoft, VMware, Red Hat Linux, ITIL v4, business continuity, business skills and application development.

Higher education

For university IT departments, business schools and administrative offices, the company offers private group training (5 or more staff) and live virtual classes, with scheduling it says respects academic calendars and budget cycles. Use cases it lists: onboarding staff to new platforms, migrations, mandatory job-role certifications, and career development.

Nonprofits and mission-driven organizations

Force7 offers what it calls "discounted partnership rates" to registered 501(c) organizations, foundations, faith-based and humanitarian groups and other mission-driven entities. The discount amount is not published; the company says it verifies eligibility and confirms the discount in the quote, so have your 501(c) status or nonprofit registration ready. Nonprofits can train a group of 5 or more, enroll staff in live virtual classes, or place one or two people in a scheduled public class and "still receive nonprofit pricing."

MSPs and technology companies

For managed service providers, the company describes three partnership models:

  • Bulk licensing and seat pools: pre-buy training seats at volume pricing and draw them down over the year, with centralized reporting on who trained on what.
  • Co-branded labs and courseware: deliver Force7-built labs and curriculum to your own clients under your brand.
  • On-demand private cohorts: stand up a virtual or onsite class whenever a new certification deadline or client requirement appears.

Training for career changers, veterans, service members and working pros

Career seekers

For people with no tech background, Force7 offers what it calls a guided certification roadmap in four steps: foundations (CompTIA A+ and Network+), security (CompTIA Security+), specialization (cloud with AWS or Azure, advanced security with CySA+ or CASP+, or networking with Cisco or Juniper), then getting hired and continuing to stack certifications. It offers evening and weekend cohorts for people who already have a job. CAPM and Agile are listed as entry points on the business side of tech. Force7's Terms make clear it does not guarantee an employment outcome.

Veterans

The Veterans page lists two benefits. First, a free veteran seat in every public class: the company says every scheduled public cohort includes a Force7-funded seat for a U.S. military veteran, plus discounted classes beyond that. Second, the lifetime free course retake (see policies below). It suggests Security+, A+, Network+, cybersecurity, cloud, DoD 8140 baseline and project management certifications as starting points. Ask how the free seat is allocated in the class you want, since it is one seat per public class.

Active-duty military

For service members, Force7 offers day and evening cohorts, on-base private groups and live virtual classes, with paths mapped to DoD 8140 baseline certifications. The page lists Security+, A+, Network+, CySA+, CASP+, CISSP, CISM, cloud and networking tracks.

Working professionals

The Upskilling page targets people already in IT who want a promotion or a move into cloud, security or AI. Tracks listed include AWS Solutions Architect, Azure and Google Cloud; CISSP, CISM, CySA+ and CASP+; generative AI, ML engineering and agentic AI; DevOps; VMware; and PMP, ITIL v4 and Agile.

Private one-on-one training

Private IT training is a dedicated instructor for one person or a small group (under 5), onsite, in Colorado Springs or live virtual, on dates you pick, including evenings and weekends. You choose the topics and pace. The company says it matches you with an instructor and sends a plan "usually within 24 hours."

Onsite, offsite, virtual or hybrid: how classes are delivered

Force7 offers four delivery modes and says each one uses the same instructors, content and labs:

ModeHow it worksCompany's "best for"
Onsite at your locationA live instructor comes to your office, campus or military base anywhere in the US5+ staff, on-base programs, hands-on equipment
Offsite near youYour team trains in hotel or conference space near your officeTeams wanting a dedicated, distraction-free setting
Live virtual instructor-ledReal-time online classes with hands-on labs; one person or a whole teamDistributed teams, individuals, tight travel budgets
HybridSome learners in the room and some online, or an onsite kickoff with virtual follow-upSplit or hybrid workforces

The company also mentions a classroom in Colorado Springs "near Pikes Peak" for private groups and individuals. If you plan to train there, confirm the exact classroom location when you book. The site says clients can mix formats within one rollout.

Where is Force7 located, and what are its hours?

  • Corporate headquarters: Charlotte, NC, phone 910-222-7640 (no street address is published for this office).
  • Regional operations office: 3472 Research Parkway, Ste. 104, Colorado Springs, CO 80920, phone 719-298-4047.
  • Email: info@force7training.com
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM MST.
  • Service area: onsite and offsite classes anywhere in the US, live virtual classes worldwide. The About page says it serves customers across the United States and Canada.

The Terms of Service say they are governed by North Carolina law.

How much does Force7 training cost?

Force7 does not publish course prices. Every option, from one seat in a public class to a base-wide program, is quoted. The Terms say "Course prices are shown at registration and may change over time," and that private group or custom engagements follow the payment terms in your quote or statement of work.

What the site says affects the price, and what you should have ready for a quote:

  • The course or certification track, and whether you need exam vouchers included.
  • Number of students. Private group training starts at 5 people; seat pools for MSPs get volume pricing that the company says "gets better as your seat pool grows."
  • Delivery mode. Onsite and offsite classes involve instructor travel and venue; live virtual classes avoid travel cost.
  • Customization. Custom courseware or a Unity development project is scoped separately.
  • Eligibility for discounts. Qualifying nonprofits get partnership rates; veterans can ask about the free veteran seat and discounted classes.

The quote form asks for your name, organization, phone, email, training interest, number of students, preferred delivery (virtual, in-person, either or no preference) and a description of your needs. The company says it responds within one business day, and on several pages says most quotes come back within 24 hours or the same day.

Payment. The Privacy Policy says payments are processed by Stripe and that Force7 does not store full card numbers. A seat is confirmed once payment "(or an approved purchase arrangement)" is received.

GI Bill and tuition assistance. The site does not publish GI Bill or military Tuition Assistance details. If you plan to use VA education benefits or Tuition Assistance, ask Force7 and your base education office before you enroll.

What happens step by step

The Services and Corporate Training pages describe the same three-step start, and the quote pages fill in the details:

  1. You describe the goal. A certification track, a platform migration, a compliance gap, a courseware need or a development project. Use the quote form, call 719-298-4047 or 910-222-7640, or email info@force7training.com.
  2. Force7 scopes it. The company says a senior instructor scopes each quote and sends a custom plan with the service, instructor, format, schedule and pricing, usually within 24 hours. Nonprofits are asked to confirm their status at this stage.
  3. You confirm and pay. For public classes, the seat is confirmed when payment or an approved purchase arrangement arrives. Group and custom work follows the quote or statement of work.
  4. Training is delivered. Onsite, offsite, virtual or hybrid, with hands-on labs and exam preparation built in.
  5. Exam and follow-up. The company says it provides exam vouchers, onsite testing where applicable, and exam prep during and after training. If you don't pass, the retake policy applies.

Retakes, refunds, payment and other policies

  • Lifetime free course retake. The site says that if you don't pass, you can retake the same Force7 course at no cost, for life. The Terms add the conditions: it applies to "eligible instructor-led courses," covers tuition (not necessarily exam fees), and is "subject to seat availability and the conditions of that policy." Ask which courses are eligible and whether a new exam voucher is included.
  • Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds. These terms are "presented at the time of purchase," according to the Terms; they are not published on the site. Ask for them in writing before you pay.
  • No outcome guarantee. The Terms state that Force7 does not guarantee a certification, exam result, job or business result.
  • Course materials. Attendees get a limited, personal license to use the materials for their own or internal training; resharing or reselling them is not allowed.
  • Accessibility. The Accessibility Statement sets a goal of WCAG 2.1 Level AA and says the company aims to respond to accessibility requests within five business days.

How it compares with other ways to get certified

There are many routes to an IT certification. Here is how Force7's published model lines up against common alternatives, in general terms:

OptionHow it typically worksHow Force7's model differs
Self-study (books, videos, practice exams)Lowest cost; you set the pace; no instructor to answer questionsLive instructor, scheduled class, hands-on labs and exam prep; costs more and is quoted
On-demand video course platformRecorded lessons, often on subscription; little live interactionReal-time classes only ("never pre-recorded," per the Higher Education page)
Large national training companyBig public schedule, many locations, published pricesQuote-based pricing; the company says it tailors format and schedule to each customer
College or university certificate programSemester-length, academic credit, financial aid may applyShorter, exam-focused training for vendor certifications, not academic credit
Employer's in-house trainersFree to staff, but limited by internal expertiseOutside instructors in many vendor tracks, delivered on site if needed

Who it suits, and who should look elsewhere

A good fit if you…

  • Need a group of 5 or more trained on a certification, at your site or online
  • Manage a military unit or defense contractor team working toward DoD 8140 baseline certifications
  • Want live instruction rather than recorded videos
  • Need custom courseware or a Unity-based simulation alongside training
  • Run an MSP that wants pooled seats or co-branded training for clients
  • Are a veteran or career changer who wants a structured certification path and evening or weekend classes

Look elsewhere if you…

  • Want to compare published prices online before talking to anyone
  • Want to pick a date from a public class calendar today (none were listed when we checked)
  • Prefer fully self-paced, on-demand video learning
  • Want an academic degree or college credit rather than a vendor certification

Questions to ask before you book

  • What is the full price, and does it include the exam voucher, materials and lab access?
  • Who will teach my class, which certifications do they hold, and how long is the course?
  • What are the cancellation, rescheduling and refund terms?
  • Is my course eligible for the lifetime free retake, and does a retake include a new exam voucher?
  • For onsite training: are instructor travel and venue costs included in the quote?
  • For veterans: how is the free veteran seat allocated, and what other discounts apply?
  • For nonprofits: what documents do you need, and what is the discount?
  • For military learners: can I use Tuition Assistance or VA benefits for this course?

How to get started

  1. Decide which certification or skill you (or your team) need, and how many people will train.
  2. Choose a delivery preference: onsite, offsite, live virtual or hybrid.
  3. Fill in the quote form on the Request a Quote page, call 719-298-4047 (Colorado Springs) or 910-222-7640 (Charlotte), or email info@force7training.com, Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM MST.
  4. Review the plan and price, and ask for the cancellation and retake terms in writing.
  5. Confirm with payment or a purchase arrangement, then train and sit your exam.
