Most Wix Sites Are Underbuilt, Not Under-Platformed
There is a lot of noise online about Wix being bad for SEO. It is mostly out of date. Wix exposes editable URL slugs, per-page titles and descriptions, canonical tags, a robots.txt editor, 301 redirects, custom structured data and an SEO setup checklist. Sites built on it can and do rank.
What we see far more often is a Wix site where none of that was ever touched. Default page titles still say Home. Every product sits on an auto-generated URL. Images are three times larger than they need to be. There is no schema, no internal linking plan, and no location pages for a business that serves five suburbs. That is an execution gap, and it is fixable without rebuilding anything.
