Company Spotlights are independent reviews of businesses that ask eSEOspace to look at them. The company asks for the review. We do the research and write it. The company does not decide what we say.
Each review covers what the business does, who runs it, what it costs, what its customers say and where it falls short. Every fact comes from a source listed on the page. The review itself has no score or star rating.
A standard review costs $500. The fee pays for the research and writing. It does not buy a good review, and we don't refund it if the review is critical.

How we keep these reviews unbiased
- The fee buys research, not a result. Paying for a review, or for any other eSEOspace work, does not change what a review says. No refund is given for a critical review.
- Every review says who paid. The top of each review says whether the company paid for it, is an eSEOspace client, or was reviewed at no charge.
- Some reviews are free. We sometimes review a company at no charge because we chose to, for example a well-known company our readers ask about. Free reviews follow the same rules and are labeled "Not paid". A free review is never offered in exchange for a link or a mention.
- Strengths and weaknesses. Every review has a "Where it falls short" section. We publish it even when the company would rather we didn't.
- Published as written. Before we publish, the company can check the facts and correct anything that is wrong by sending a source. It cannot change our wording, remove criticism or stop the review from going live.
- Ranked lists are earned. A reviewed company can be considered for our ranked lists, where it is scored by the same method as every other company on the list. A review never guarantees a place or a position, and companies we haven't reviewed are listed too. Links to a company that paid for a review are marked as sponsored, on the review and on any list.
- Sources on the page. Facts come from the company's own website, public records, licensing boards, the BBB and review platforms. Where something is only the company's own claim, we say so.
- Clients are labeled. If a reviewed company is, or later becomes, an eSEOspace client, the review says so. Guides to our current clients are in Client Spotlight.
- Dated and rechecked. Each review shows the date its facts were checked. Anyone can ask for a recheck by sending a source.
Questions about Company Spotlight
Will the review be positive?
Not necessarily. We publish what we find, strengths and weaknesses alike. If a company wants a guaranteed positive write-up, this isn't the right service.
Can we get a refund if we don't like the review?
No. The fee pays for the research and writing, not for the outcome. If a fact is wrong, send us a source and we will correct it.
How do we pay?
After you send the request form, you can pay right away with PayPal or a card. If you would rather have an invoice, skip the payment and we will email one. If we decline a request before research starts, we refund the payment in full.
Does a review get us onto your ranked lists?
It makes you eligible to be considered. Each list scores every company by the same method, and you are placed only if your score earns it. Paying never buys a position or a link, and links to companies that paid for a review are marked as sponsored.
Do you ever review companies for free?
Yes, when we choose to, for example a well-known company our readers ask about. Free reviews follow the same rules and say "Not paid" at the top. We don't trade free reviews for links or mentions.
Can I request a review of a company I don't work for?
Yes. Customers and people thinking of hiring a company can request a review. The same fee applies, and the company is still allowed to correct facts by sending a source.
How long does a review take?
Up to 10 business days after we receive the company's materials, or 5 business days with rush. Reviews that need more sources than usual may take longer, and we will tell you before that happens.
Can a review be taken down?
No. A company can correct facts with a source or pay for a re-review after it makes changes, but it cannot remove a published review.
