Wix in one minute
Wix is a hosted, all-in-one website builder. Hosting, security patching, templates and an app marketplace are included, and you design pages visually instead of managing a server or a codebase. Businesses choose it because it is quick to launch and easy for a small team to keep updated. Wix offers more than one way to build: the Wix Editor for business owners, Wix Studio for designers and agencies who want more layout control, and Wix Harmony, an AI-assisted editor launched in January 2026.
Wix is a capable platform for SEO when it is set up properly. You control titles, descriptions, URLs, redirects, structured data and more, and many Wix sites underperform because those settings are left at their defaults rather than because of the platform itself. The trade-offs are real, though: you work within Wix's hosting, templates and app ecosystem, you can't move a whole site to another platform with a single export, and very custom functionality can outgrow it.
