Wix plans compared: Light, Core, Business and Business Elite

This guide is part of our Wix resource hub: whether Wix fits, what it costs, SEO and speed, security, and guides for moving to or away from Wix.

Wix sells four website plans for sites built in the Wix Editor: Light, Core, Business and Business Elite. As of October 2026, the US prices on Wix's pricing page are $17, $29, $39 and $159 per month, and those are yearly-billing prices, meaning you pay for twelve months at once. There is also a free plan, a separate set of plans for Wix Studio sites, and an Enterprise option sold by quote.

The quick way to choose: Light is for a site that presents your business and takes no payments. Core is the lowest plan that can accept payments and run a store or bookings. Business raises the limits and adds automated sales tax. Business Elite is for high-volume businesses that need unlimited storage, the largest limits and priority support.

All prices are in US dollars, before tax, as shown to a US visitor in October 2026. Wix states that prices vary by location, so confirm yours on the purchase page.

Key Takeaways

  • Light is $17, Core $29, Business $39 and Business Elite $159 per month, billed yearly, as of October 2026.
  • Wix's public pricing page shows yearly-billing prices only. Monthly billing is offered, but its price appears at checkout.
  • Light cannot accept payments. Core, Business and Business Elite can.
  • Storage is 2 GB on Light, 50 GB on Core, 100 GB on Business and unlimited on Business Elite.
  • Each plan covers one site, and none includes a business email address.
  • Wix Studio sites use different plans: Basic, Standard, Plus and Elite.

How Wix billing works

A few rules explain most surprises on a Wix invoice.

  • Billing cycles. Wix offers monthly, yearly and multi-year (two or three year) subscriptions. Multi-year plans are not available in all regions.
  • Published prices are yearly. The pricing page states: "Displayed prices are for yearly subscriptions, paid in full at the time of purchase." Wix doesn't publish the monthly-billing price on that page. Select the monthly cycle at checkout to see it before you pay.
  • Sale prices renew at the standard rate. Anything bought on sale "renews at the standard rate", so check what the renewal will cost.
  • Auto-renewal. Monthly plans are charged on the expiry date. Yearly and multi-year plans can be charged up to three weeks before they expire.
  • No free trial. Paid plans have a 14-day money-back guarantee in place of a trial. It applies to the first purchase of a plan on a free site, and not to renewals or later upgrades.
  • No pausing. A plan starts the moment you buy it and can't be paused or delayed.
  • One site per plan. Wix states that "each Premium plan is valid for one site only". Three sites need three plans.

What every paid plan includes

All four paid plans include the ability to connect a custom domain, removal of Wix branding from the site, hosting with unlimited bandwidth, Wix's AI creation tools, round-the-clock customer care, access to Google Ads with Wix and the 14-day money-back guarantee.

The pricing page also marks a free domain for one year on all four. In practice this is a voucher that comes with the first purchase of a yearly or multi-year plan. Monthly plans don't include it, and Wix's help pages describe it as available with "selected" plans, so confirm it's shown at checkout. The voucher covers the first year of a new domain; after that the domain renews at the regular price.

What no plan includes: a business email address, which is sold separately, and domain renewals after the first year.

The four plans, one at a time

Light: $17 per month, billed yearly

Light removes the Wix ads, connects your domain and gives you 2 GB of storage and 2 collaborator seats. It includes 4 lead-capture forms with up to 10 fields each.

Its defining limit is payments. Wix is explicit: "if you purchased the Light plan, you won't be able to accept payments through your site." There's no store, no customer accounts and no paid bookings. Light suits a brochure site: who you are, what you do, how to get in touch. Two gigabytes is modest if you plan to upload video.

Core: $29 per month, billed yearly

Core is where selling starts. It adds payment acceptance, customer accounts, a product catalog of up to 50,000 products, abandoned cart recovery, scheduling and services, subscriptions and recurring payments, and selling on marketplaces and social channels. Storage rises to 50 GB and collaborator seats to 5. You get 10 forms with up to 50 fields.

The trade-offs sit in the finer limits: no automated sales tax, 25 dropshipping products through Modalyst, 10 back-in-stock notifications a month, and a 4% Wix transaction fee on the Pricing Plans app.

Business: $39 per month, billed yearly

Wix labels Business as its recommended plan. For $10 more per month than Core you get 100 GB of storage, 10 collaborators, 25 forms with up to 75 fields, automated sales tax on up to 100 transactions per month, 250 Modalyst dropshipping products, unlimited back-in-stock notifications and a 2% Pricing Plans fee. It also adds loyalty tiers, points expiration and a referral program, and Wix's help center lists HIPAA compliance on Business and Business Elite.

Business Elite: $159 per month, billed yearly

Business Elite is a large jump in price. It brings unlimited storage, 100 collaborators, 75 forms with up to 100 fields, automated sales tax on 500 transactions per month, 50,000 dropshipping products, no Pricing Plans transaction fee, priority customer care and what Wix calls its advanced developer platform. Its CMS allowance is also far larger, at 10,000,000 collection items against 20,000 on Business.

Wix describes it as being for "high-traffic businesses that need custom functionality and scalability". If you can't point to a specific limit on Business that you're hitting, you probably don't need it yet.

Storage is counted per site, and every image, video, audio file and document you upload counts toward it. We explain what happens at the limit in Wix storage and bandwidth limits. Wix's current plan pages don't list a video-hours allowance, so plan around storage in gigabytes.

Wix Studio plans and Enterprise

Wix Studio is Wix's platform for agencies and more advanced builds, with its own editor. A site built in Studio needs a Studio plan; the Light to Business Elite plans are for Wix Editor sites, and the two sets are not interchangeable. Using the Studio editor itself costs nothing. You pay when you upgrade a site.

These figures are from Wix's Studio pricing page in October 2026 and, like the main plans, are yearly-billing prices. As with Light, the entry Studio plan, Basic, cannot accept payments. If you're unsure which editor your site should be in, read Wix Studio vs the Wix Editor first, because you can't switch a Studio site back to the Wix Editor.

Enterprise sits above both sets. Wix publishes no price: "Pricing varies based on project scope, required solutions and more." On the Studio side it adds unlimited collaborators, a custom CMS quota, multi-site management, centralized billing, single sign-on and a dedicated account manager.

Costs a plan doesn't cover

The plan is the largest line on the bill but rarely the only one.

  • Domain renewal. After the voucher year, a domain registered through Wix renews at the regular price. As of October 2026 Wix lists .com renewal at $21.35 per year. See domains on Wix.
  • Business email. Wix sells Google Workspace mailboxes separately, priced per user.
  • Payment processing. Card payments through Wix Payments in the US cost 2.9% plus $0.30 per transaction for most cards. Details are in Wix Payments fees and payment options.
  • Email marketing. Wix Email Marketing has its own plans, separate from site plans, with a free allowance of 200 emails a month.
  • Apps. Third-party apps from the Wix App Market often carry their own subscriptions, and those are not refundable through Wix.
  • Tax. Listed plan prices don't include applicable taxes.

We add these up into realistic yearly budgets in how much a Wix website costs.

Changing plans later

Wix says you can upgrade or downgrade at any time, to a different plan of the same duration. A few specifics:

  • Upgrades take effect immediately, and the unused part of your current plan is credited toward the new one.
  • You can't move to a shorter billing cycle while upgrading. A switch to a shorter cycle starts when the current cycle ends.
  • The Change Plan button is not available to all users. Without it, you cancel and repurchase.
  • Only the owner, an Admin (Co-Owner), a Billing Manager or a custom role with billing permission can change a plan.

To upgrade, go to Premium Subscriptions → More Actions → Upgrade plan → Select → Continue to Checkout → Submit Purchase. Wix documents the credit calculation in its article on upgrading an existing Premium plan.

Bear in mind that the 14-day guarantee doesn't apply to upgrades.

How to choose

  1. Will the site take money? If not, Light. If yes, Core at minimum.
  2. Do you need Wix to calculate sales tax automatically? If yes, Business or higher. Core has no automated sales tax.
  3. How many people need access? Count everyone who needs a login: 2 on Light, 5 on Core, 10 on Business.
  4. How much media will you upload? Photo-heavy sites fit Core's 50 GB comfortably. Video libraries may need Business or Business Elite.
  5. Is the site built in Wix Studio? Then use the Studio table instead.

If you're still deciding whether to pay at all, what the free Wix plan can and can't do sets out where the free plan stops.

Conclusion

Light is for presence, Core is for selling, Business is for selling at volume with tax automation, and Business Elite is for scale. Compare on the limits you'll actually reach, read the billing cycle carefully, and budget for the domain, email and processing fees that sit outside the plan. Frequently asked questions

How much does Wix cost per month if I pay monthly?

Wix's public pricing page shows only yearly-billing prices, which are $17 to $159 per month as of October 2026. Monthly billing is available, and the price is displayed at checkout before you pay.

Which Wix plan do I need to sell online?

Core or higher. The Light plan cannot accept payments. Core, Business and Business Elite all include payments and a catalog of up to 50,000 products.

Does a Wix plan include a domain?

A plan lets you connect a domain. Yearly and multi-year plans can come with a voucher for one free year of a new domain, which then renews at the regular price. Monthly plans don't include the voucher.

Can I use one Wix plan for several websites?

No. Each plan is valid for one site only. You can move a plan from one of your sites to another, but the first site then loses its paid features.

Is the Business plan worth the extra over Core?

It is if you need automated sales tax, more than 5 collaborators, more than 50 GB of storage or higher dropshipping and notification limits. If none of those apply yet, Core does the same core selling job and you can upgrade later with credit for unused time.

Can I get a refund if I pick the wrong plan?

The first purchase of a plan on a free site has a 14-day money-back guarantee. Upgrades and renewals are not covered, and domains are non-refundable. This is a summary and not legal advice; Wix's Terms of Use set the rules.
