Wix vs Duda: pricing, agency tools, SEO and client management

By: Irina Shvaya | October 5, 2026
This guide is part of our Wix resource hub: whether Wix fits, what it costs, SEO and speed, security, and guides for moving to or away from Wix.

Duda is built for people who make websites for other people. Its plans are priced per account, with team seats, client logins, client billing and white-label branding stepping up by tier. Wix is built first for the business owner running one site, and it serves agencies through a separate product, Wix Studio. So the right comparison depends on who you are.

If you own a business and want one site, Wix includes more in the plan: a free plan to start on, a store inside the plan, and bookings and email marketing built in. If you're an agency or freelancer managing many client sites, Duda and Wix Studio are the real contenders, and the choice comes down to how you want to bill clients, how much branding control you need and whether code export matters.

This article compares pricing, agency features, SEO and performance, client management and ecommerce, using each vendor's own pages as of October 2026.

Key Takeaways

  • Duda's plans are $19 (Basic), $29 (Team), $52 (Agency) and $149 (White Label) per month billed annually, as of October 2026. Basic and Team include 1 published site. Agency and White Label include 4.
  • Wix plans are $17 to $159 per month billed yearly, one site per plan. Wix Studio plans are $19, $27, $34 and $159 per month billed yearly.
  • Duda has no free plan. It offers a 14-day trial with no credit card. Wix has a free plan.
  • On Duda, eCommerce is a separate per-site subscription from $7 per month billed yearly. On Wix, selling is included from Core, or from Standard on Wix Studio.
  • Duda offers white-label client access and a custom platform domain on its White Label plan, and site code export on Agency and above. A Wix site can't be exported.
  • Both generate sitemap, robots.txt and llms.txt files and support 301 redirects.

The billing models differ

Duda prices "per account." The plan sets your team size and feature tier and includes a number of published sites. Each additional site costs "$19/month or $171/year for the Basic plan, or $17/month or $168/year for the Team, Agency, and White Label plans." You can create unlimited unpublished projects on any plan.

Wix prices per site. Every published site needs its own Premium or Studio plan, and the features that site gets depend on that plan. The Wix Studio workspace sits above the sites, and Wix says there's no limit to the number of teammates in a workspace.

For one site, the entry prices are close. For ten sites, do the arithmetic for your case. On Duda's Agency plan at annual rates, that's $52 a month for the plan with four sites ($624 a year), plus six more sites at $168 a year each ($1,008), about $1,632 a year before any store subscriptions. On Wix Studio, it's ten plans at whatever tier each site needs, from $19 per month each billed yearly on Basic, which can't take payments, so $2,280 a year or more.

Free plans, trials and domains

Wix has a free plan with Wix ads and a wixsite.com address, and a 14-day money-back guarantee on a first plan purchase. Duda has no free plan. Its trial is "a 14-day, commitment-free trial" that includes White Label plan features with no credit card required. Both list a free domain for the first year: Wix through a voucher with selected yearly plans, Duda as a checked item on its four priced plans. See Wix plans compared for the Wix side in full.

Agency focus and client management

Duda

Duda's agency features are the reason to choose it, and they step up by plan:

  • Team seats. None listed on Basic, 3 on Team, 6 on Agency and White Label. Default permission groups include Admin, Blogger, Designer, Sales, and Store and Booking Manager.
  • Client accounts. From Team, unlimited client seats. Clients only have access to the sites they're assigned to.
  • Client Billing. From Team, you can charge clients recurring fees through Stripe. Duda says clients "only see your branding and Stripe on all invoices," and that Duda itself no longer collects a transaction fee on these payments. Stripe's fees still apply.
  • White label. On the White Label plan, clients log in from a custom branded login screen on your own platform and email domain, with white-label analytics.

Wix Studio

Wix's agency features live in Wix Studio, and many come with the workspace, not with a paid tier:

  • Workspace and teammates. One workspace manages sites, clients, reusable assets and subscriptions. Roles can be customized per workspace, site and folder.
  • Collaborator seats. Each Studio site has 5 free collaborator seats while the owner is on a Studio account, then 3 to 100 external collaborators by plan.
  • Custom Branding. Puts your agency's brand in email invitations, site dashboards and free site banners.
  • Client billing. A payment request lets the client pay Wix directly for the site's plan and manage renewals. It requires being a Wix Partner.
  • Revenue share. Wix Partners earn 20% on yearly or multi-year Studio plans, and 30% at the Legend level.

The difference in one paragraph

Duda lets an agency present the platform as its own and bill clients under its own name. Wix Studio keeps Wix visible in the relationship, with the client paying Wix for the plan, and gives the agency a share of that plan revenue. Agencies that sell a bundled monthly website service often prefer the first model. Agencies that build and hand over often prefer the second. If you hand sites to clients, read our guide to transferring ownership of a Wix site.

Editors and design

Duda supports two editor versions: Editor 2.0 and a Classic Editor with optional flex mode. Editor 2.0 uses flex and grid layout and lets you edit across desktop, tablet and mobile with customization for each screen size.

A practical Duda advantage is template switching. Its Reset Site feature can "switch the template on your site and keep existing content," as long as the new template uses the same editor type. On Wix, an existing site can't be moved to a different template.

Wix offers three editors. The Wix Editor is free-form with a separate mobile view. Harmony, released in January 2026, is automatically responsive with an AI assistant. The Studio Editor is the agency tool, with breakpoints, CSS grid and flexbox layouts, reusable components and real-time collaboration. We compare them in Wix Studio vs the Wix Editor.

SEO and performance

Structured dataPreset on some page types, plus custom JSON-LDGenerated local business schema for one location; add more manually
Canonical tagsAutomatic and customizableNot covered in the Duda articles we reviewed
MultilingualWix Multilingual; hreflang tags added by defaultMulti-language on all plans; about 200 pages in total across languages

Both platforms cover the SEO work most local and small business sites need. A few specifics are worth knowing.

  • Multi-location schema. Duda says its builder generates local business schema for one location only. For more, you disable it and add your own.
  • Multilingual size. Duda says a multi-language site can have around 200 pages in total, so a 100-page site can add only one language.

On performance, both vendors make strong claims about Core Web Vitals. Speed on any platform depends heavily on how the site is built, so test real pages from each with PageSpeed Insights before deciding. Our guide to Wix site speed and Core Web Vitals explains what to measure. For redirects on Wix, see how to set up 301 redirects on Wix.

Ecommerce and bookings

On Wix, the store is part of the site plan. Wix Core and above, and Wix Studio Standard and above, can accept payments. Wix Stores supports up to 50,000 products.

On Duda, eCommerce and Bookings are separate per-site subscriptions, as of October 2026:

Duda store planPer month, billed yearlyBilled monthlyProductsVariants per product
Standard$7$81008
Advanced$20$221,000300
Elite$45$5220,000400

Duda lists a 0% transaction fee on all store plans and supports Stripe, PayPal, Square and Mollie. Digital products, subscriptions, automatic taxes and automatic shipping start at the Advanced store plan. Duda's eCommerce pricing page shows automated abandoned cart recovery campaigns as "Coming soon."

For a client with a small catalog, a Duda site plus the Standard store plan is inexpensive. For a larger catalog, or a client who needs abandoned cart recovery and marketplace selling today, Wix includes those from its Core plan.

Portability

Duda offers something Wix doesn't: site export. On Agency and above, you can download a zip of a published site's HTML, CSS, JavaScript and files, for sites up to 1 GB. Duda is clear about the limits. Server-side code isn't included, contact forms and other dynamic features stop working, and the store, blog and membership data aren't in the HTML export. Products export to CSV and the blog is available as an RSS file. An exported site can't be imported into another Duda account.

A Wix site can't be exported or hosted elsewhere. CMS collections and store products export to CSV, and blog posts can't be exported.

Choose Wix if, choose Duda if

Choose Wix if:

  • You're a business owner building one site and want a free plan to begin on.
  • You want the store, bookings and email marketing included in the plan.
  • Your catalog is large, or you need abandoned cart recovery and marketplace selling now.
  • You're an agency that wants clients to own and pay for their own plan, with revenue share to you.

Choose Duda if:

  • You're an agency selling websites as a service under your own brand.
  • You want to bill clients directly on recurring invoices.
  • You want to switch a site's template while keeping its content.
  • You want the option to export a site's code.

Conclusion

For a single business site, Wix bundles more into one plan. For agencies, Duda and Wix Studio are closely matched on price and differ on model: Duda centers the agency's brand and billing, while Wix Studio centers the site and shares plan revenue. Decide how you want to charge clients and who should own the account, then test a real client build in both trials. Frequently asked questions

Is Duda cheaper than Wix?

For one site, they're close: Duda Basic is $19 per month billed annually and Wix Light is $17 per month billed yearly, as of October 2026. Duda's store is an extra subscription, while Wix includes selling from its $29 Core plan. For many sites, compare Duda's per-site add-on price with one Wix plan per site.

Does Duda have a free plan?

No. Duda offers a 14-day trial with no credit card required. Wix has a free plan that publishes with Wix ads on a wixsite.com address.

Is Duda better than Wix for agencies?

It depends on the model. Duda offers white-label client access, client billing through Stripe and code export. Wix Studio offers a workspace with unlimited teammates, client kits, custom branding and revenue share on client plans. Neither is better for every agency.

Which has better SEO, Wix or Duda?

Both provide automatic sitemaps, robots.txt and llms.txt files, redirects, and editable titles and descriptions. Wix documents customizable canonical tags and custom JSON-LD. Duda supports 302 redirects as well as 301s. Neither guarantees rankings.
