Here is what it does and what it costs.

Parisi Law Firm is an eSEOspace client: we work on its website and search marketing. This guide uses the firm's own published information, checked on 19 October 2026, and every source is listed at the end. We don't rate or score our clients. This guide is general information, not legal advice; for advice on your situation, talk to a licensed Georgia attorney. Fees and terms change, so confirm them on parisifirm.com or by phone before you hire.
The short answer
Parisi Law Firm is a small law firm at 218 Athens Street in Jefferson, Georgia, run by founding attorney Jerry Parisi. It does two kinds of work. On the personal injury side it represents people hurt in car, truck and motorcycle crashes, falls, dog bites and similar accidents, and families in wrongful death cases, on a contingency fee (no attorney's fee unless it recovers money). On the business law side it represents small businesses and trade contractors: contracts, liens, formation, employer-side employment issues and disputes, billed by flat fee or hourly, plus an Outside General Counsel subscription from $1,850 a month. It serves Northeast Georgia and metro Atlanta. Phone: (404) 594-5130.

What is Parisi Law Firm?
Parisi Law Firm is a small, locally owned law practice in downtown Jefferson, the county seat of Jackson County in Northeast Georgia. Its legal name, as given in the site's disclaimer, is The Parisi Law Firm, LLC.
The firm describes itself as focused on "two things": personal injury and business law for Northeast Georgia's small businesses and trades. That pairing is unusual for a small-town firm, and the site explains the logic with an example: when a roofer's employee gets hurt on a job, that is an injury matter, and when the same roofer can't collect on a finished job, that is a business matter. The firm's pitch is one relationship for both.
The two halves work very differently, and it helps to keep them apart:
- Personal injury: the firm represents the injured person (the plaintiff) against the at-fault party and their insurer. It works on contingency: you pay no attorney's fee unless it recovers money for you.
- Business law: the firm represents businesses, and on employment issues it represents employers, not employees. The site says business law is not handled on contingency; defined projects are often a flat fee and disputes are usually hourly. There is also a monthly subscription for ongoing counsel.
The firm says it takes on "a select number of cases" on purpose so that clients deal directly with Jerry Parisi rather than a case manager, and that it is willing to take cases to trial when an insurer or opposing party won't settle on fair terms.
Who runs Parisi Law Firm?
Jerry Parisi is the founder and lead attorney. He is the only attorney the site profiles. According to his bio page:
- Education: a joint J.D./M.B.A. from Georgia State University (2015), and a B.A. in Political Science and a B.A. in International Affairs from the University of Georgia (2007).
- Admissions: State Bar of Georgia (2015), the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.
- Track record (the firm's own figures): 10+ years practicing law, 1,000+ personal injury cases, 500+ business law matters, and 50+ trials (3 jury, 50+ bench).
- Memberships: State Bar of Georgia, Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, American Association for Justice, Athens Area Trial Lawyers Association and Jackson County Bar Association.
- Recognition listed on the site: a Super Lawyers "Rising Stars" honoree.
- Background: he worked for a general contractor during college, building homes and supervising subcontractors on jobsites, which the firm says is the root of its trades practice. He is originally from suburban Philadelphia.
- Community roles: board member and governance committee chair at Jackson County Habitat for Humanity (with pro bono legal work for it), president-elect of the Jefferson Rotary Club, and a member of the Jackson County Area and Barrow County chambers of commerce.
- Media: host of the Mind Your Own Business podcast, a guest on Business RadioX and on Lewis on the Law, and a speaker at the Barrow County Chamber of Commerce (October 2025) and an Economic Business Community Meeting (February 2026).
The Outside General Counsel page describes Jerry Parisi as the firm's managing attorney and also lists an hourly rate for an associate attorney, but the site does not name or profile any other lawyer. If it matters to you who will do the day-to-day work on your matter, ask.
Is Parisi Law Firm legit?
People usually ask this before trusting a lawyer with an injury claim or a business dispute. Here is what can be checked:
- A real office. The firm publishes a street address, 218 Athens Street, Jefferson, GA 30549, and says it is a few minutes from the Jackson County courthouse. Its Jefferson page stresses that this is "not a satellite address, not a mail drop."
- A registered business name. The site's legal disclaimer identifies the firm as The Parisi Law Firm, LLC.
- A named attorney with stated credentials. The bio lists his law school, graduation years, bar admission year and federal court admissions. These are the firm's statements. You can confirm any Georgia lawyer's license status in the State Bar of Georgia member directory; we did not complete that lookup for this guide.
- Required-style disclaimers. The site says on several pages that past results do not guarantee a similar outcome, that contacting the firm does not create an attorney-client relationship until a written agreement is signed, and that nothing on the site is legal advice.
- Published reviews. The home page and reviews page show a 5.0 average from 214 Google reviews, and the reviews page also shows Yelp reviews going back to 2019. These are displayed by the firm itself (see what clients say).
- Published business pricing. Its Outside General Counsel subscription lists monthly fees, included hours, response times, hourly overage rates and terms in full, which many firms keep private.
We are the firm's web agency, so we are not a neutral reviewer. If outside verification matters to you, check the bar directory and read reviews on third-party platforms directly.
Personal injury cases it handles
The personal injury hub lists 14 practice areas, each with its own page. All are handled on the same contingency basis.
| Case type | What the firm's page focuses on |
|---|---|
| Car accident | Crashes involving distracted driving, drunk driving, commercial vehicles, highway collisions on I-85 and disputed fault |
| Truck accident | Commercial truck crashes, trucking company liability, federal trucking rules and preserving the truck's recorded data |
| Motorcycle accident | Rider crashes, including the bias riders can face from insurers |
| Bicycle accident | Cyclists struck by vehicles |
| Pedestrian accident | People struck while walking |
| Uber accident / Lyft accident | Rideshare crashes, where which insurance policy applies depends on what the driver was doing at the time |
| Slip and fall | Injuries on someone else's property: stores, walkways, icy steps, loose carpet, cords and broken stairs |
| Dog bite | Claims against dog owners, including off-leash dogs and owners who knew a dog was dangerous |
| Boating accident | Injuries on the water |
| ATV accident | Off-road vehicle crashes, including cases where the vehicle had no insurance |
| Catastrophic injury | Spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, amputations and other injuries with long-term effects |
| Construction accident | Jobsite injuries caused by someone other than the worker's employer (a third-party claim) |
| Wrongful death | Claims brought by families after a death caused by someone else's negligence |
There is also a separate page for people hurt by a drunk or impaired driver (the URL is /dui-lawyer, labeled "DUI Injury Cases"). That page is for victims: it explains that the injury claim is separate from the driver's criminal case and describes who else may be responsible, such as the driver's employer or, in narrow situations, whoever served the alcohol. A seasonal winter holiday injury guide covers holiday travel crashes, store and parking-lot injuries and similar situations.
The firm's own explanation of the construction accident page is worth knowing if you work in the trades: workers' compensation is usually the only claim against your own employer, but if a different company caused the injury (another subcontractor, an equipment supplier, a property owner, a delivery driver), a separate injury claim against that company may be possible. The firm says its business-side work with contractors helps it sort out who controlled the work area and the equipment.
Business law services
The business law hub lists twelve core services:
- Outsourced General Counsel: the monthly subscription (see below).
- Contracts: drafting, reviewing, negotiating and enforcing customer, vendor and subcontract agreements, change orders and payment terms, and suing over a breach when needed.
- Business formation: choosing and setting up an LLC, corporation or partnership, operating agreements and Secretary of State filings.
- Employee handbooks: written policies for small employers.
- Non-disclosure and non-compete agreements: drafting restrictive covenants meant to be enforceable under Georgia's rules.
- Business disputes and liens: mechanic's and materialman's liens, filing and enforcing them, and defending against them.
- Business, civil and commercial litigation: representing businesses in court when a dispute escalates.
- Employment law: for employers only, covering at-will employment, worker classification, wage rules, handbooks and disputes.
- Licensing and compliance: contractor licensing, annual registration and staying in good standing.
- Insurance disputes: denied business claims, premium audits and bad-faith issues, on the policyholder's side.
A second group of pages covers buying, selling and running a business: buying or selling a business (letters of intent, due diligence, purchase agreements), buy-sell agreements and succession planning, commercial leasing, partner and shareholder disputes, franchise agreements and SBA loan or financing documents, and trademarks and intellectual property.
The site also has twelve city pages for business clients (Jefferson, Gainesville, Athens, Commerce, Winder, Braselton, Hoschton, Auburn, Monroe, Buford, Flowery Branch and Watkinsville) and a set of articles for business owners on topics such as contract deadlines, at-will employment, denied insurance claims and non-competes.
Work for contractors and the trades
Trade businesses are the core of the firm's business practice. It has industry pages for general contractors, subcontractors, roofing contractors, flooring contractors, plumbing, electrical and HVAC contractors, landscapers and pest control operators, plus one for small and medium businesses generally.
Much of this work is about getting paid. The site's Georgia Construction Payment Guide is a hub for ten pages that walk through the payment process on a Georgia job: the Prompt Pay Act, payment bond claims on state, county and city projects, federal Miller Act bond claims, the notice of commencement, the notice to contractor, lien waivers, construction contracts, mediation and arbitration, and collections for material suppliers.
The firm's lien page summarizes why timing matters: it says a Georgia mechanic's lien must be filed within 90 days of the last day of labor or materials, and that a lawsuit to enforce it must follow within 365 days. Its general contractors page lists the issues it handles for GCs: prime contracts and subcontracts, liens, change-order disputes, defect and delay claims, and OSHA issues. These pages are general information; the deadlines in your case depend on your contract and your project.
The Outside General Counsel Program
The Parisi Law Firm Outside General Counsel Program is a monthly legal services subscription for small and mid-size businesses that do not have a lawyer on staff. The firm says it is open to any such business (service companies, retailers, professional practices, family businesses and trade contractors), not just the trades, and that it limits the number of subscribing businesses. Jerry Parisi leads it.

What every plan covers (within the included hours): contracts and purchase orders; customer-facing documents such as estimates, service agreements, change-order forms, warranty language and refund or deposit policies; website terms and privacy policies; customer disputes and chargeback responses; collections, including demand letters, lien advice and preparing small-claims (magistrate court) filings for you to file; licensing and compliance guidance; general Georgia sales and use tax guidance coordinated with your CPA; employment and contractor matters; entity upkeep such as annual registration; and practical input on business decisions and insurance questions.
What is billed separately: lawsuits in any court (apart from small-claims preparation), arbitration, mediation and appeals; government enforcement actions, audits and hearings; tax returns, tax planning and tax disputes; mergers, acquisitions, selling the business and investor financing; real estate closings; trademark, patent and copyright registration and disputes (trademark filings may be offered as project work); and personal matters of owners or employees.
Overage rates: work beyond the included hours is billed at subscriber rates of $350 an hour for the managing attorney and $250 an hour for an associate attorney, against standard rates of $400 and $300. Rush work (a document over 10 pages needed in under 24 hours, or weekend or holiday work) carries a 25% surcharge on Tiers 1 and 2, only with your advance approval. Exact terms are set in a written subscription agreement.
What the firm does not handle
Knowing what a firm doesn't do saves a wasted call. Based on what the site lists and says:
- Criminal defense. No criminal defense practice is listed. The page titled "DUI Injury Cases" is for people injured by impaired drivers, not for drivers charged with DUI.
- Employees suing their employer. The employment law page says the firm represents employers, not employees.
- Workers' compensation benefit claims. Workers' comp is not listed as a practice area. The construction accident page is about claims against third parties other than your employer. If your question is only about comp benefits, ask the firm whether it can help or refer you.
- Tax returns and tax disputes. The Outside General Counsel page says these belong with your CPA or a separate engagement.
- Areas not listed at all, such as family law, immigration or estate planning for individuals. The site does not offer them.
How much does Parisi Law Firm cost?
It depends on which side of the firm you need. These are the terms published on the site on 19 October 2026.
| Type of matter | How it's billed | Published amount |
|---|---|---|
| First consultation (injury or business) | Free | $0 |
| Personal injury case | Contingency fee: a percentage of the settlement or verdict, and no attorney's fee if nothing is recovered | Percentage not published |
| Defined business projects (for example forming an entity or drafting a contract) | Often a flat fee | Not published; quoted at consultation |
| Business disputes and litigation | Typically hourly | Not published as a schedule; the subscription page gives standard rates of $400/hour (managing attorney) and $300/hour (associate) |
| Outside General Counsel subscription | Flat monthly fee | $1,850, $3,175 or $4,500 a month; $1,000 onboarding on Tiers 1 and 2 unless waived |
Injury case costs. Case costs are separate from the attorney's fee, and the site gives two different messages about them. One FAQ answer says that if the firm does not recover compensation, it covers case costs and expenses. The fee disclaimer printed under that answer says court costs and other expenses "usually must be paid by the client." Ask the firm to explain in writing how costs are handled in your case, both if you win and if you don't, before you sign.
Business fees. The site says the firm discusses fees up front at the consultation. Business law is not handled on contingency.
Paying. Payment methods are not published.
Where is it, and what areas does it serve?
The office is at 218 Athens Street, Jefferson, GA 30549, in downtown Jefferson. The firm says in-person meetings are easy to arrange there, and that it will also come to you: the site advertises in-home and hospital consultations for injured people who can't travel.
The firm's service area pages cover ten counties (Jackson, Gwinnett, Barrow, Athens-Clarke, Banks, Hall, Walton, Madison, Fulton and DeKalb) and 58 individual communities, from Jefferson, Commerce, Braselton and Hoschton to Gainesville, Athens, Winder, Monroe and metro Atlanta suburbs such as Sandy Springs, Johns Creek, Alpharetta and Dunwoody. If your town isn't listed, the firm suggests calling.
Hours. Regular office hours are not published. The free case review page says Jerry can be called directly and is "available for emergency cases 24/7."
How an injury case works, step by step
The firm publishes its own outline of an injury case:
- Free case review. You call or use the online form. The firm says Jerry Parisi personally reviews every case, not a paralegal or junior associate.
- Investigation. The firm gathers police reports, medical records, witness statements and expert opinions.
- Demand. It sends a written settlement demand to the insurance company.
- Lawsuit, if needed. If the insurer won't settle on terms the client accepts, the firm files suit.
- Discovery and mediation. Both sides exchange evidence, and the case often goes to mediation.
- Trial. If there is no settlement, the case goes to a judge or jury.
The site notes that hiring a lawyer does not mean you are suing anyone: the first step is a claim with the at-fault party's insurer, and most claims never reach a courtroom. It also says you can bring in a lawyer at any point, including after you have already been dealing with the adjuster yourself.
The online form asks for your name, phone, email, the type of case, when it happened and a description. The firm notes that submitting the form does not create an attorney-client relationship. Its disclaimer asks people not to send confidential details by email before they are clients.
Deadlines. The firm's pages say most Georgia injury claims must be filed within two years, and that claims involving a city, county or the state can have much shorter notice deadlines. Your deadline depends on your facts, which is one reason the firm urges people to call early.
How business clients get started
- Consultation. Call (404) 594-5130 or request a consultation online. The site says your first conversation is free.
- Scope and fee. For a one-off matter, the firm quotes a flat fee or hourly arrangement. For the subscription, you pick a plan.
- Written agreement. Subscription clients sign a legal services subscription agreement that sets out the plan, what is included and excluded, and the fees.
- Legal Health Check. Subscription onboarding includes a review of your core documents, licenses, policies and practices, with a written action list. Your plan refreshes it on a schedule.
- Ongoing work. You use your included hours and quick questions, and get responses within your plan's time frame.
For trades clients, the subscription page gives examples of what that looks like in practice: subcontracts reviewed for pay-if-paid and indemnity terms before you sign, lien waivers checked before they go out, and demand letters sent on slow-paying jobs.
What clients say on the site
The firm's home page and reviews page show a 5.0 average from 214 Google reviews, and the reviews page adds a set of Yelp reviews. Some other pages on the site show older, lower counts (95+, 100+ and 65+), so the reviews page is the one to go by.
Recurring themes in the reviews the firm displays: clear communication and being kept up to date, being walked through the process step by step, and staff who were kind during a stressful time. Two Yelp reviews, from 2019 and 2021, describe help with lawsuits from debt collectors, which is not a practice area the site currently lists.
The firm prints a reminder with its reviews that they reflect individual clients' experiences, are not a guarantee of a future result, and that past results do not guarantee a similar outcome. Reviews tell you how a firm treats people, not what your case is worth.
How it compares with other options
| Option | What you typically get | Trade-off to weigh |
|---|---|---|
| A small local firm like Parisi Law Firm | Direct contact with the lead attorney, an office in your county, home or hospital visits | Fewer lawyers to share a heavy caseload; ask about who covers when the lead attorney is in trial |
| A large regional or statewide injury firm | More staff and advertising reach; many offices | You may work mainly with a case manager rather than the attorney |
| Handling an insurance claim yourself | No fee comes out of any settlement | You deal with adjusters, deadlines and valuing the claim on your own |
| A general-practice firm | One office for many kinds of legal issues | Less depth in any one area |
| Hiring in-house counsel (business) | A lawyer on staff full-time | A full salary and benefits; usually only practical for larger companies |
| Calling a lawyer only when something goes wrong (business) | You pay only for the matter at hand | No one knows your contracts or deadlines in advance, so problems may be caught late |
| Online legal forms (business) | Low-cost templates | Not tailored to Georgia lien or contract rules or to how your business works |

- Want both your business and injury matters with one firm
Look elsewhere if you…
- Have been charged with a crime, including DUI
- Are an employee with a claim against your own employer

- Need family law, immigration or individual estate planning
- Are a large company that needs a big legal team or several offices

Questions to ask before you hire
- For an injury case: what percentage is the contingency fee, and does it change if the case goes to trial?
- Who pays case costs (records, experts, filing fees) if we win, and if we don't? Can I see that in the agreement?
- Will Jerry Parisi handle my case personally, or will an associate do some of the work?
- What is my filing deadline, and does a city, county or state agency have a shorter notice deadline in my case?
- For business work: is this a flat-fee project or hourly, and what is the estimate?
- For the subscription: which tier fits my volume of work, and what happens to unused hours?
- For trades clients: which notices and lien deadlines apply to my job right now?
How to get started
- For an injury, fill in the free case review form or call (404) 594-5130.
- For a business matter, start on the business law page and request a consultation.
- For ongoing counsel, compare the plans on the Outside General Counsel page.
- Have your documents ready: police report, photos, medical bills and insurance letters for an injury; contracts, invoices and notices for a business dispute.
- If you can't come to the office, ask about a home or hospital visit.
Terms you'll see on the site
- Contingency fee: a fee paid as a percentage of what is recovered, with no attorney's fee if nothing is recovered. Case costs may be handled separately.
- Statute of limitations: the deadline to file a lawsuit.
- Comparative negligence: the rule that reduces (or, past a point, bars) recovery when the injured person was partly at fault.
- Wrongful death claim: a claim brought by family members after a death caused by someone else's negligence.
- Third-party claim: an injury claim against someone other than your employer, such as another contractor or an equipment supplier.
- Dram shop law: the Georgia rule on when a business or person that served alcohol can share responsibility for a drunk driver's crash.
- Mechanic's (materialman's) lien: a claim against improved property by someone who supplied labor or materials and wasn't paid.
- Payment bond / Miller Act claim: a claim against the bond that guarantees payment on public (state, local or federal) construction projects.
- Pay-if-paid clause: a contract term that conditions a subcontractor's payment on the contractor being paid first.
- Outside general counsel: an outside law firm that acts as a business's regular lawyer without being on its payroll.
