Quote My Policy website home page

Quote My Policy is an eSEOspace client: we work on its website and search marketing. This guide uses the company's own published information, checked on 19 October 2026, plus one public license record, and every source is listed at the end. We don't rate or score our clients. Details change, so confirm them on quotemypolicy.com before you rely on them. This guide is general information, not insurance advice.

The short answer

Quote My Policy is an insurance agency that compares coverage across multiple carriers. You fill in a short three-step form or call 864-387-2746, and the company says it connects you with a licensed insurance professional who can quote coverage from more than one insurer. It handles eight lines: home, renters, auto and motorcycle, life, mortgage protection, pet, business and boat. Using it costs nothing and there is no obligation to buy; the premium you would pay is not published because it depends on the insurer's underwriting. Its legal pages give a contact address in Anderson, South Carolina. In Texas only, it also takes Medicare inquiries for a named, licensed agent.

What is Quote My Policy?

Quote My Policy is a website and phone line for people who want insurance quotes without calling around themselves. You tell it what you want to insure, and it passes your request to a licensed insurance professional who can quote options. Its own one-line description is that it "makes insurance simple, personal, and hassle-free by offering tailored quotes and expert advice without the pressure."

The company's pitch is about how the experience feels rather than about price. It contrasts itself with "big-box insurance": instead of "call centers & bots" it promises "a real human," "one advisor who knows your name" and "one number" rather than "follow-up texts from 14 numbers." Those are the company's own promises, not measured results.

Alongside the quote service, the site is a large free library. Its sitemap listed 1,141 pages when we checked, including guides for each coverage line, state-by-state requirement pages, a Medicare resource center, a Texas section with county and city pages, 12 calculators, a glossary and a blog. The calculators page says plainly that none of its tools estimate a premium, because "we'd have to make the number up."

Does Quote My Policy sell insurance?

Yes. Quote My Policy is an insurance agency. The FAQ answer on the home and contact pages puts it this way: "We help you compare insurance options and connect you with a licensed insurance professional who can quote coverage from multiple carriers, so you're not pushed toward one company's product." The home page describes it as "not your typical insurance agency," and the mortgage broker page says "we compare policies across multiple carriers."

The policy you end up with is issued by the insurance company you choose, and the footer on every page notes that "submitting a request does not bind coverage." If you want to know exactly who is quoting you, ask for their name and license number; the site's own shopping checklist calls that "a completely normal request."

Who owns or runs Quote My Policy?

The site does not publish an ownership statement or an About page with a team list. Two people are named:

  • Jason Patterson. The Texas pages say: "Quote My Policy is operated by Jason Patterson, an insurance agent licensed by the Texas Department of Insurance for life, accident, health and HMO insurance (license #1554827, NPN 8642444)." He is also the agent named on the Texas Medicare inquiry form.
  • Bryan DeVore. The Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions and Customer Promise list him as the contact person for the company, with the Anderson, South Carolina address and the 864-387-2746 phone number. Older blog posts carry his byline.

The legal entity is named two ways. The Terms, Privacy Policy and Customer Promise say "QuoteMyPolicy.com LLC," and the footer says "Quote My Policy LLC." If you need the exact registered entity, the South Carolina Secretary of State's business search is the place to confirm it; we did not check that record for this guide.

Is Quote My Policy legit?

People ask this about any quote website, usually because they worry about being flooded with calls. Here is what can be checked:

  • A license you can look up. We checked Jason Patterson's Texas license in the Texas Department of Insurance's public license data on 19 October 2026. It shows license #1554827, NPN 8642444, type General Lines Agent, qualification Life, Accident, Health & HMO, first issued 2 March 2009, expiring 30 September 2028, with a mailing city of Anderson, South Carolina. That matches what the site says.
  • A phone number and a named contact. 864-387-2746 appears on every page, and the legal pages name Bryan DeVore with a street address in Anderson, South Carolina.
  • Written terms and a privacy policy. Both are published and dated (Privacy Policy effective April 18, 2025; Terms and Customer Promise effective April 19, 2025).
  • Required Medicare disclosures. The Medicare form names the agent and his license, says how many organizations and products he represents in the area, and carries the "Not connected with or endorsed by the United States government or the federal Medicare program" statement.

The site does not show customer reviews, ratings or testimonials, so there is no published review figure to report. If outside reviews matter to you, look the business up on review platforms and ask the agent who contacts you for references.

What insurance can you get quotes for?

The quote form's first step asks "What are we quoting?" and offers eight lines plus two catch-alls:

Option on the formWhat the site says it helps with
Home InsuranceHouses, condos and vacation homes; fire, theft, storms and liability
Renters InsuranceYour belongings, personal liability and somewhere to stay after a covered loss
Auto & MotorcycleCars, trucks and motorcycles, from minimum liability to collision and comprehensive
Life InsuranceTerm, whole life and "customizable coverage"
Mortgage ProtectionLife insurance arranged around a mortgage
Pet InsuranceAccident and illness plans for dogs, cats and other pets ("four-legged (or feathered)")
Business InsuranceLiability, business owners policies (BOPs) and trade-specific coverage for small businesses
Boat InsuranceThe vessel, passengers and gear, plus liability on the water and wreck removal
Something elseAnything not listed
Winter check-upSeasonal reviews: frozen pipe and water damage, storm and tree damage, boat lay-up, year-end renewal

Medicare is handled separately, through its own form, and only for Texas residents (see below).

The coverage lines, one by one

Each line has a hub page that explains how that kind of policy works before it asks you for anything. The pages avoid quoting prices or naming insurers. Here is what each one focuses on.

Auto and motorcycle. The auto page breaks a policy into its parts: bodily injury and property damage liability, collision, comprehensive, uninsured and underinsured motorist, medical payments or personal injury protection, and extras such as rental reimbursement, roadside assistance and gap coverage. Its main point is that "liability limits are the decision that matters most," and it warns that "'full coverage' is not a product anyone sells." Linked guides cover teen and new drivers, seniors, high-risk drivers, SR-22 and FR-44 filings and non-owner policies. A state table lists minimum liability limits and fault systems for 26 states, each marked with the date it was verified.

Home. The home page opens with the idea that a house "is insured for what it costs to rebuild," not what you paid for it. It covers dwelling limits, replacement cost versus actual cash value, percentage wind and hail deductibles, and exclusions such as flood and earth movement.

Renters. The renters page starts from "your landlord's policy does not cover anything you own." It covers the three parts of a renters policy (personal property, personal liability, loss of use), sub-limits on items such as jewelry, electronics, bicycles and cash, replacement cost versus actual cash value on contents, and whether a roommate needs a separate policy. It notes that renters insurance is required by leases, not by state law.

Life. The life page covers what a policy can help pay for (a mortgage, living costs, education, debts, final expenses) and links to guides on term, whole and final expense life insurance, guaranteed-issue and simplified-issue products, how much coverage to consider, and how applications are underwritten for people with health conditions.

Mortgage protection. The site explains that mortgage protection "is life insurance arranged around a mortgage" and is different from both private mortgage insurance (which protects the lender) and homeowners insurance. It covers level versus decreasing benefits, amount and term, no-exam options and how it compares with a plain term life policy. The site says mortgage protection is a personal choice and "never a condition of the loan."

Pet. The pet page lists what plans may help cover (accidents, emergency visits, illnesses, diagnostics, surgery, prescriptions) and links to dog and cat guides, quote checklists and three pet calculators.

Business. The business page argues that "business insurance is not one policy" but up to six, chosen around the work: general liability, commercial property, business interruption, professional liability, workers' compensation, commercial auto and cyber.

Boat. The boat page explains why "a boat policy is not an auto policy on water": wreck removal and fuel spill liability are costs unrelated to the boat's value, agreed value and actual cash value settle a total loss differently, and navigational limits and lay-up periods decide when and where cover applies. It lists towing and on-water assistance, uninsured boater cover and personal effects aboard.

Medicare help (Texas only)

The Medicare resource center is a free library: the site says it has "82 guides, 51 state pages and two calculators," with 2026 cost figures linked to their official sources. Those figures (for example, the 2026 Part B standard premium of $202.90 a month) are federal amounts the site reports, not prices Quote My Policy sets.

Personal help is narrower. The "Talk to a licensed Medicare agent" form says: "We can only help residents of Texas, where Jason Patterson is licensed." You choose what you want help with (Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, Part D or "not sure yet"), and you must tick a consent box agreeing to be contacted by Jason Patterson by phone, text and email. The page says your information "goes only to Jason Patterson" and that Quote My Policy "does not sell or share Medicare inquiries with any other agent, agency, plan or marketing company." It also states: "Currently we represent 41 organizations which offer 397 products in your area," and reminds you that you can compare every plan yourself at Medicare.gov or by calling 1-800-MEDICARE. Medicare Open Enrollment, the page notes, runs October 15 to December 7.

If you live outside Texas, the Medicare pages are reading material only. The site's own Medicare pages point to free help: every state has a State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) with "trained counselors who don't sell insurance," and Medicare.gov's Plan Finder compares every plan in your ZIP code.

The Texas pages

Texas has its own section. The hub says it has guides "for every line we quote, plus local guides for all 254 counties and the 50 largest cities," and a search box that takes a ZIP code, city, town or county. Beyond a guide for each coverage line, there are topic guides on hail, hurricanes, freezes, flood, the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association (TWIA), the Texas FAIR Plan and 2025-2026 law changes. The Texas hub and its disclaimer carry the statement about Jason Patterson's license quoted above, which names the lines it covers (life, accident, health and HMO).

How much does Quote My Policy cost?

Requesting a quote is free. The home page says "Free, and there's no obligation," and the get-started page calls the process "simple, fast, and free." The Customer Promise describes "transparent, no-obligation quotes."

The price of the insurance itself is not published anywhere on the site, on purpose. The calculators page explains: "What a policy costs depends on your age, health, location, record, and the individual insurer's rating; a handful of form fields can't produce that honestly." The mortgage protection cost page opens with "We won't quote you a number here. We'll show you what moves it."

What the site says moves the price, by line:

LineMain price factors the site lists
AutoCoverages, limits and deductibles chosen; driving record; the vehicle's repair cost and safety equipment; mileage and work use; where the car is kept; a credit-based insurance score where the state allows it
Mortgage protection and lifeCoverage amount; term length; age at application; health and underwriting class; tobacco or nicotine use; level or decreasing benefit; riders
HomeDwelling limit (rebuild cost), replacement cost or actual cash value, flat and percentage wind or hail deductibles
PetAnnual limit, deductible type, reimbursement percentage, whether exam fees are covered

How you get a real number: submit the form or call, and the licensed professional you are connected with quotes your situation. For mortgage protection, the site suggests having your loan balance, years remaining, date of birth and "an honest summary of your health" ready.

How does Quote My Policy make money? The site does not say. Its own comparison list notes that quote services in general "are free to use, because insurers or agents pay them." If that matters to you, ask the person who calls how they are paid.

How it works, step by step

  1. Reach out. Call 864-387-2746, email info@quotemypolicy.com, or fill in the form at /get-started. The form is three steps. The first asks what you want quoted; the home page says that part "takes about a minute." The comparison list says you "choose how you'd like to be reached: phone, text or email."
  2. A conversation about what you need. The home page says: "We'll give you a quick call and chat about what you're looking for. Home? Auto? Life? We'll walk through it all without the jargon or pressure."
  3. A licensed professional quotes you. The FAQ says you will be contacted by "a licensed insurance professional who can walk you through your options," and the home page says they "match you with a licensed professional and options that actually fit, then give you room to decide." Some insurers may need more details or a follow-up before they can give an accurate estimate.
  4. Underwriting. Quotes are not offers. The Customer Promise says "all quotes are subject to review and final underwriting decisions made by licensed agents and insurers," and the Terms say a request "does not constitute an application for insurance."
  5. Decide in your own time. There is no obligation to buy. If you do, the policy is issued by the insurer. The site's checklist advises not cancelling an old policy until the new one is confirmed in force.

The site does not publish a response time. The FAQ says only that "in most cases, you'll receive a quote quickly after submitting your information."

Who will contact you, and what happens to your details

  • One point of contact. The marketing pages promise "one number. No spam. No sea of unknown callers," and the compare-quotes guide says "your details go to the person helping you, not to a marketplace of buyers."
  • Medicare. Medicare inquiries go only to Jason Patterson and are not shared with anyone else.
  • Your choices. The Privacy Policy explains how information is used and lists your rights to access, correct and delete your data and to opt out of communications; every message includes opt-out instructions.

Where is it, and which states does it serve?

The Privacy Policy gives the company's contact address as 117 Whitehall Rd, Anderson, South Carolina 29625. The site does not describe an office you can visit, so call before turning up anywhere. Everything else is by phone, email and the online form.

The site does not publish a list of states where you can get quotes for home, auto, life and the other lines. Its state requirement pages (26 states for car insurance, for example) are information pages, not a statement of where coverage is available. The footer notes that "coverage, availability, and terms vary by insurer and by state." The one stated limit is Medicare help, which is for Texas residents only. To check your state, ask when you call or note it in your request.

Hours are not published. The contact page says "a real person picks up. No phone tree."

Free tools and guides on the site

You can use these without giving any details:

  • 12 calculators, which the site says are "free, no sign-up, and nothing is sent anywhere": life insurance needs, term length, debt payoff cover, life quote comparison (cost per $1,000 of coverage), mortgage protection gap, auto liability exposure, auto deductible trade-off, auto quote comparison, monthly versus paid-in-full, pet bill split, pet plan A versus B and pet annual cost.
  • An insurance glossary of 25 terms, plus guides on checking a license and an insurer's complaint record.
  • A compare-quotes guide and a shopping checklist. The compare guide's rule is "price is the last thing to compare, not the first": match limits, terms, deductibles, riders and the assumed health or risk class before looking at the premium.
  • A fall and winter check-up with eight seasonal items, from frozen pipes and fallen trees to boat lay-up and the usual 30-day wait on a federal flood policy.
  • Comparison lists of ways to get quotes and of coverage options. The quote-service lists rank Quote My Policy first and say so under the headline; other services are described from their own websites.
  • A blog, with posts on topics such as what to do if a claim is denied, finding a life insurance policy after a death, and how to check an insurance company before you buy.

Mortgage broker partnerships

A separate page invites mortgage brokers to refer clients who need homeowners insurance before closing. The broker sends the client's details, the company provides quotes and guidance, and it supplies the documentation needed for closing, with the aim that "your loan process stays on track." It offers "incentives for verified referrals as part of our partnership program." Incentive amounts are not published; brokers can call or email info@quotemypolicy.com.

The referral offer

For individuals, the site says: "Send 5 verified referrals and we'll thank you with a $50 gift card," with "no obligation for them to switch." It does not publish what counts as a verified referral or how the gift card is delivered, so ask before you start sending names.

Policies: guarantees, terms and privacy

  • No guarantee of coverage. The Customer Promise says the company does "not guarantee coverage or approval from any insurance carrier," and that "providing a quote does not constitute a binding offer or proof of coverage."
  • No pressure. It promises not to "push policies that aren't in your best interest," and the FAQ says that if what you already have is the better deal, "we'll tell you."
  • Governing law. South Carolina, with disputes in Anderson County courts.
  • Feedback. The Customer Promise asks you to contact Bryan DeVore with questions about your experience. For complaints about an insurer or agent, your state insurance department handles them for free, as the site's own guides note.

Refund and cancellation rules for an actual policy are set by the insurer that issues it, not by Quote My Policy.

How it compares with other ways to shop for insurance

Here is how an agency like this one sits against the other common routes, using general categories rather than named companies.

RouteHow it worksTrade-off
Quote My PolicyOne form or call; a licensed professional follows up with options across insurers; eight lines in one placeFree and personal, but no prices on the site and no published list of states
Buying direct from one insurerYou quote online or by phone with a single companyFast, but you see one company's price; comparing means repeating the process
A local independent agentAn agent appointed with several insurers quotes and services your policiesOngoing local relationship; you choose the agent and can check their license before giving details
A captive agentAn agent who sells one insurer's productsOne point of contact, but one company's options

Who it suits, and who should look elsewhere

A good fit if you…

  • Want someone to explain options on the phone rather than read a price grid
  • Need several lines (say home, auto and life) reviewed together
  • Are buying a home and need mortgage protection or homeowners quotes before closing
  • Own a boat or a small business and want the coverage parts explained
  • Live in Texas and want help comparing Medicare plans with a named, licensed agent
  • Like to read up first: the free guides and calculators ask for nothing

Look elsewhere if you…

  • Want to see a price on screen and buy online in one sitting
  • Need Medicare help outside Texas: use Medicare.gov, 1-800-MEDICARE or your state's SHIP
  • Want an in-person office visit
  • Need a type of insurance not on its list (health plans for under-65s, for example), though you can try the "Something else" option

Questions to ask before you request a quote

  • Is my state one you can quote for this line?
  • Who will contact me, what is their name and agency, and what is their license number in my state?
  • Will my details go to anyone besides you? Can I ask that they don't?
  • Which insurers can you quote for me, and how many?
  • Is this an estimate, a quote, or an offer after underwriting? What health or risk class does it assume?
  • What is the annual, paid-in-full price, and are there installment fees?
  • How are you paid for placing the policy?

How to get started

  1. Decide what you want to insure and, if you are replacing a policy, find your current declarations page.
  2. Optional: use the free calculators or the shopping checklist to work out the limits you want.
  3. Call 864-387-2746, email info@quotemypolicy.com, or fill in the three-step form at quotemypolicy.com/get-started.
  4. Pick how you want to be contacted (phone, text or email) and mention your state.
  5. Talk it through with the licensed professional who contacts you, compare like with like, and decide in your own time.
  6. For Medicare in Texas, use the separate "Talk to a licensed Medicare agent" form.

Terms you'll see on the site

Short versions of definitions from the site's own glossary and guides.

  • Actual cash value: what property was worth just before a loss, after depreciation.
  • Replacement cost: in the site's words, pays "to repair or rebuild with materials of like kind and quality."
  • Declarations page: the summary page of a policy listing who and what is covered, limits, deductibles and premium. The site calls it "the single most useful document" for comparing quotes.
  • Underwriting: the insurer's process of assessing risk to decide whether, and on what terms, to offer coverage.
  • Free look period: a window after delivery when you can review a policy and cancel for a refund; length varies by product and state.
  • Level or decreasing benefit: in mortgage protection, whether the payout stays the same or shrinks with the loan balance.
  • Agreed value: in boat insurance, settling a total loss at the figure on the policy rather than a depreciated value.
  • Lay-up period: the part of the year a boat policy expects the boat to be out of use.
  • NPN: National Producer Number, the national identifier for a licensed insurance agent.
