Here is what it installs, what it typically costs, how estimates work and what the warranty covers.

Top Rated Gutters is an eSEOspace client: we work on its website and search marketing. This guide uses the company's own published information, checked on 19 October 2026, plus one public record (its Better Business Bureau profile), and every source is listed at the end. We don't rate or score our clients. Prices, hours and policies change, so confirm them with your local team on topratedgutters.com before you book.
The short answer
Top Rated Gutters is a residential and commercial gutter company made up of five locally owned teams: Northeast Georgia (Cumming), Northwest Georgia (Marietta and Cobb County), Central Georgia (Macon and Warner Robins), Cincinnati, Ohio (with Northern Kentucky) and South Bend, Indiana (with southwest Michigan). It installs seamless aluminum gutters formed on site, replaces and repairs gutters, cleans them, installs gutter guards and sells a residential "tune-up." Estimates are free. It does not publish a price list: its cost guides give typical ranges (often $4 to $12 per linear foot for aluminum seamless gutters) and say only a written quote is binding. Installs carry a lifetime material and labor warranty. Each team has its own phone number.

What is Top Rated Gutters?
Top Rated Gutters is a gutter contractor. Its whole business is the water-handling system on the edge of a roof: the gutters, the downspouts that carry water to the ground, and the guards that keep leaves out. It works on homes and on commercial buildings.
The company's About page says it "was started by a small group of professionals with decades of experience in the home-improvement trades who saw an opportunity to provide a higher level of customer experience in the gutter industry." Several of the market owners came to gutters from house painting: the South Bend owner's bio says painting customers kept asking whether they installed gutters, which is why they "decided to open Top Rated Gutters alongside our friends in the industry."
The core product is the seamless aluminum gutter. Instead of joining pre-cut 10- or 20-foot pieces, the crew brings a forming machine to the house and rolls each gutter run from one continuous piece of aluminum, cut to the exact length of the roofline. The market pages say it forms gutters in 5-inch and 6-inch K-style profiles and recommends 6-inch gutters with larger 3x4 downspouts for steep roofs, big roof areas or heavy tree cover. It color-matches gutters to the trim, and the Marietta page says color matching comes "at no additional charge."
Around that product it offers replacement of old systems, repairs, cleaning, gutter guards, downspout repair and installation, a flat-rate residential tune-up, storm repairs, box gutter repair in Cincinnati, and commercial installation and maintenance contracts.
Who owns Top Rated Gutters?
The site names a co-founder and one owner for each market. Each market page and the About page list the same people:
| Person | Role on the site | Background the site gives |
|---|---|---|
| Brian Ammerman | Co-founder | Started managing a fast food restaurant, then worked up from assembly at an automotive manufacturer to Regional Sales Director |
| Scott Specker | Owner, Northeast Georgia (Cumming) | Owns and runs a house-painting franchise covering Cumming, Alpharetta and Buford; described as a long-time Forsyth County small-business owner |
| Dan McMillan | Owner, Northwest Georgia (Marietta) | 28 years in sales and customer service at large companies, then bought a painting franchise in Woodstock and Kennesaw in 2016 |
| Michael Nungesser | Owner, Central Georgia (Macon) | Over 20 years in home improvement; owns several painting franchises in Georgia and was previously a managing partner at an exteriors company in Macon and Columbus |
| Colin Nellis | Owner, Cincinnati, OH | Most of his career in home improvement; lives in Loveland, Ohio |
| Anthony Kulikowski | Owner, South Bend, IN | Over 25 years in the painting trade, running his own painting businesses for the last 20 years with his wife Justine |
The Northwest Georgia pages also name Greg, who "personally manages estimates and scheduling" for the Marietta team. Customer reviews on the site mention owners by first name (Colin, Anthony, Dan and Greg), which matches the company's point that calls reach the local team rather than a call center.
These biographies are the company's own. We did not independently check them.
Is Top Rated Gutters a franchise or a national company?
It is a shared brand run by separate local businesses. The site's Terms of Service, the most formal statement on the site, say that Top Rated Gutters® "operates through independently owned and operated local teams" in its five markets, and that "the team serving your address is the party that contracts with you, performs the work, and is responsible for it."
The wording elsewhere on the site varies. Several market pages say "we aren't a franchise call center" and stress local ownership, while one answer on the FAQ page calls it "a multi-location franchise company with locally owned and operated locations." We found no franchise offering on the site. What matters for a customer is the Terms of Service point: your contract and warranty are with the local team for your address, so it is worth knowing which team that is (see below).
Is Top Rated Gutters legit?
Here is what a homeowner can check:
- Named local owners. Each market has a named owner with a photo and a LinkedIn link on the About page.
- Street addresses. The site publishes an office address for each market: Cumming, Woodstock, Juliette, Loveland and South Bend.
- Published reviews. The site says it is "rated 4.9 across 184 Google reviews in 4 states" and shows each market's own figure (see reviews). Its Terms say the reviews shown are real third-party reviews "reproduced as written," that it does not pay for reviews and does not edit their substance.
- Written terms and warranty. It publishes Terms of Service (effective 29 July 2026), a Privacy Policy and a warranty page with what is and isn't covered.
What you can't check from the website: license numbers (none are published), the insurer, and a founding date. If those matter to you, ask the local team for its license details where your state or city requires one, and for a certificate of insurance. The FAQ page says the company "is happy to provide its insurance documentation upon request."
Where does it work, and which team covers you?
Each market has its own owner, phone number, office and Google Business profile. The estimate form routes your request to the right team by ZIP code.
| Team | Phone | Office listed on the site | Areas named |
|---|---|---|---|
| Northeast Georgia (owner Scott Specker) | (678) 283-2595 | 104 Colony Park Dr, Ste 400a, Cumming, GA 30040 | Cumming, Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton, Suwanee, Roswell, Duluth, Gainesville, Flowery Branch, Oakwood, Dawsonville, Lake Lanier; Forsyth, North Fulton and Hall counties |
| Northwest Georgia (owner Dan McMillan) | (678) 990-7246 | 220 Heritage Walk, Suite 118, Woodstock, GA 30188 | Marietta, Smyrna, Kennesaw, Woodstock, Canton, Acworth, Powder Springs, Dallas, Mableton, Sandy Springs, Vinings, Austell, Hiram, Cartersville, Ball Ground; Cobb, Cherokee and Paulding counties. The Atlanta page also uses this number. |
| Central Georgia (owner Michael Nungesser) | (478) 200-7246 | 180 Willingham Dr, Suite C-1, Juliette, GA | Macon, Warner Robins, Perry, Byron, Centerville, Bonaire, Kathleen, Milledgeville, Forsyth, Cochran, Lizella, Juliette; Bibb, Houston, Peach, Jones, Baldwin, Monroe, Laurens and Bleckley counties |
| Cincinnati, OH (owner Colin Nellis) | (513) 653-7246 | 10920 Loveland Madeira Rd, Suite 2H, Loveland, OH 45140 | Greater Cincinnati (Hamilton, Warren, Butler and Clermont counties) and Northern Kentucky, including Florence, Covington, Newport, Erlanger, Independence and Burlington |

Hours. The contact page lists business hours of Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 8:00pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Not sure you're covered? Several market pages say to call with your address so the team can confirm. The form sends out-of-area ZIP codes to the company as well, so you will get an answer either way.
Services, one by one
| Service | What the company says it includes |
|---|---|
| Gutter installation | Seamless aluminum gutters measured and formed on site, mounted with hidden hangers, pitched toward the downspouts, with downspouts placed to carry water away from the foundation. For new construction or homes with no gutters. |
| Gutter replacement | Removing and hauling away the old system and installing new seamless gutters, often with fascia repair, downspout rerouting or an upgrade from 5-inch to 6-inch. The Marietta page says replacements are "typically in a single day." |
| Gutter repair | Resealing leaking joints, reattaching sagging or pulled-away sections, replacing damaged downspouts, re-pitching, securing fasteners and fixing fascia rot. |
| Gutter cleaning | Hand-clearing the full run, flushing every downspout, bagging and removing debris, and checking hangers, pitch and seams. The company recommends cleaning at least twice a year. |
| Gutter guards | Guards installed over new or existing gutters (if the gutters are sound). Market pages name micro-mesh and surface-tension systems; the Cumming page also mentions "LeafGuard-style" systems. |
| Gutter tune-up | Flat-rate residential service: full cleaning, resealing endcaps and miters, re-securing with hidden fasteners (more below). |
| Downspout repair and installation | Clearing or replacing clogged and damaged downspouts, and adding properly sized ones. |
| Storm and emergency repair | Securing hanging sections, replacing damaged pieces, rehanging downspouts and clearing storm debris. The Cincinnati page offers "same-day emergency gutter repairs for urgent situations." |
| Box gutter repair (Cincinnati) | Inspection, repair and relining of built-in box gutters on older homes, which the Cincinnati page calls "specialized work that many gutter companies will not take on." |
| Commercial work | Installation, replacement, guards, cleaning and scheduled maintenance contracts (more below). |
Materials. Aluminum is what the company installs as standard, and its pages describe "heavy-gauge aluminum and commercial-grade hangers and fasteners." Its general pages discuss copper, steel, vinyl and other materials, and the Cincinnati FAQ quotes steel and copper price ranges, but the service pages don't say every team installs every material. If you want copper, half-round or steel, ask your local team whether it does that work.
How long a job takes. The installation page says most homes "can be completed within a day," and the Marietta page says larger or complex rooflines "may take a day and a half."
Free tools. The site has a gutter size calculator that suggests 5-inch or 6-inch gutters and a downspout count from your roof size, pitch and local design rainfall, with "no email, no sign-up," plus how-to-measure and maintenance guides.
What is the gutter tune-up?
The tune-up is a flat-rate service for the gutters you already have. The company lists three parts:
- Full cleaning: removing debris, leaves and grime.
- Re-sealing endcaps and miters (the corner joints) against leaks.
- Re-securing with hidden fasteners: tightening and adding fasteners.
Booking works in three steps, according to the page: enter your details and pay a deposit online, send your address, and the team contacts you 24 hours before arrival by text, phone and email. "Most jobs are completed 1-2 weeks from deposit." The page does not print the flat rate, so check it at the booking step or call.
The tune-up is for residential properties only. Commercial buildings are quoted separately. A short video of a tune-up from the Northeast Georgia team is linked on the page.
Commercial gutter work
The company says it works for medical facilities, schools, gyms, hospitality businesses, property managers, churches, retail, offices, warehouses and multi-family properties. Commercial services listed include:
- Oversized seamless systems: the Cumming page mentions 6-inch and 7-inch commercial-grade aluminum and box gutters for flat and low-slope roofs.
- Commercial gutter guards (micro-mesh and heavy-duty screen).
- Scheduled maintenance contracts on a quarterly, semi-annual or annual basis.
The Northeast Georgia page says the team has completed projects spanning 20-building complexes and coordinates with property managers. For commercial quotes, the tune-up page gives an email address, scotts@topratedgutters.com, alongside the commercial services page.
Fall and winter services
The site has a seasonal page that orders fall work the way a home needs it: cleaning as the leaves drop, the tune-up before freezing weather, guards before leaves and snow, repairs before freeze-thaw cycles, replacement before winter, and commercial maintenance on a schedule.
It also lists the National Weather Service's average first-freeze dates for each market, so you know your deadline: about 17 October for South Bend, 25 October for Cincinnati, mid-October to November across northeast Georgia, 11 November for Macon and 13 November for Atlanta. The page notes these are averages, "not forecasts."
How much does Top Rated Gutters cost?
Top Rated Gutters does not publish a fixed price list. Its Terms of Service say any price range on the site "is illustrative only, it is not an offer," and that "a binding price exists only once we have provided a written quote for your specific property and you have accepted it." Estimates are free.
That said, the site publishes a lot of typical ranges in its cost guides and market FAQs. These are the figures we found on 19 October 2026:
| Item | Range published on the site | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Seamless aluminum gutters | $4 to $12 per linear foot | FAQ answers on every market page |
| Typical full gutter installation, by market | Cincinnati $1,400 to $2,800; South Bend $1,200 to $2,500; Marietta/Atlanta $1,500 to $3,000; Cumming/NE Georgia $1,400 to $2,800; Macon/Central Georgia $1,200 to $2,500 (average home) | Gutter cost guide |
| Installation by home size | About $800 to $1,800 for 1,000 to 1,500 sq ft; $1,500 to $2,800 for 1,500 to 2,500 sq ft; $2,500 to over $5,000 for larger homes | Gutter installation cost guide |
| Steel and copper (Cincinnati) | Steel $6 to $15, copper $15 to $40 per linear foot | Cincinnati FAQ |
| Gutter guards | $7 to $15 per linear foot installed | Central Georgia page and financing page |
| Gutter cleaning | $1 to $2.50 per linear foot; "most homeowners pay $150 to $350 per visit" | Financing page; Central Georgia page |
| Minor gutter repair | About $75 to $250; bigger repairs $200 to $600 or more | FAQ page |
| Full project with guards | "$1,500 to $5,500 range" for an average-sized home | Financing page |
| Warranty service visit after 2 years | $99 | Warranty page |
The ranges differ a little from page to page (the guides are written as general homeowner information, and some describe the wider market rather than the company's own pricing), so treat them as a rough budget. The things the company says move the price are linear footage, the number of stories, roofline complexity (corners and miters), downspout count and routing, removing old gutters, fascia repair, 5-inch versus 6-inch gutters, and guards.
What a quote should cover. The FAQ says a complete quote should list materials, labor, clean-up, removal of old gutters, the gutter profile, size and material, and whether downspout extensions and a fascia inspection are included. The market pages promise "detailed written estimates before any work begins" with "no hidden fees."
If the job grows. The Terms say that if conditions the team couldn't see at quote time change the work (rotted fascia behind old gutters is the usual one), it will tell you before continuing and let you approve, change or cancel the extra work.
Financing, payment and discounts
- When you pay. "Unless your quote says otherwise, payment is due on completion of the work" (Terms of Service). The tune-up is the exception: it is booked with an online deposit.
- Financing. The financing page describes monthly payment plans, possible 0% promotional interest periods "for qualifying customers," and no prepayment penalties. Financing covers installation, replacement and gutter guard projects. The Terms say financing "is provided by a third-party lender on that lender's own terms, and approval is theirs to give." The lender is not named; ask during the estimate.
- Military and veteran discount. The Central Georgia team offers a discount to active-duty service members, veterans, reservists and military families, including the Robins Air Force Base community. The amount is not published; ask when you call (478) 200-7246. The site does not say whether other markets offer it.
- Insurance claims. For storm damage, the FAQ says the company "can provide documentation of damage to support your insurance claim." Whether your policy pays is between you and your insurer.
How it works, step by step
- Ask for an estimate. Use the form on the home or contact page (your ZIP code routes it to your local team), or call your market's number. The contact page says "most estimates are scheduled within 48 hours."
- Or send a video. The company offers a phone option: scan a QR code, record a short video of your gutters, downspouts and exterior, and share it through the app. The Marietta team also quotes many standard jobs from photos and says it can "often provide an estimate the same day," confirming details on site before work starts.
- On-site estimate. An estimator measures the roofline, checks the condition of the existing gutters and fascia, and recommends a size and layout. The Cincinnati page says you usually get a written quote "within 24 to 48 hours of your call." There is no obligation.
- Accept the written quote. This is the binding price. If you want financing, raise it here; approval comes from the lender.
- Scheduling. The financing page says jobs are often scheduled "within a week or two"; the Northeast Georgia and Marietta pages talk about same-week scheduling, weather permitting. Peak seasons (spring and fall) can be slower, per the FAQ.
- Before the crew arrives. The Terms ask you to give safe access to the exterior, gates and driveway, and to move vehicles and fragile items away from the drip line. Work may be rescheduled for rain, ice, high wind or lightning.
- Installation day. The crew forms the seamless gutters on site, hangs them, sets the pitch and downspouts, and cleans up. Most homes are done in a day.
- Pay and keep the paperwork. Payment is usually due on completion. Keep your quote and invoice: they set the warranty terms.
Cancelling. You can cancel or reschedule a booked appointment by calling your local team; the Terms ask for as much notice as possible. No cancellation fee is published.
Warranty and guarantees
The warranty page says Top Rated Gutters offers "a LIFETIME material and labor warranty on all gutter and gutter guard installations." In detail:
- Material warranty covers: gutter breaks, gutter sagging, proper draining and performance, and leaks.
- Material warranty does not cover: failure from lack of cleaning, maintenance or general neglect; acts of nature such as hail, high winds and tree branches; failure due to rotted wood on the home; and the gutter finish (chalking, fading or staining over time).
- Labor warranty: lifetime labor, "which includes free at-home service for a period of 2 years. After the 2 year period, a $99 service charge applies for service visits."
- Who it covers: "The Limited Lifetime Warranty applies to qualifying products as long as the original purchaser owns the home."
The Terms of Service add that manufacturer warranties on materials pass through to you on the manufacturer's terms, and that the warranty does not extend to damage from storms, falling limbs, ice, roof or fascia failure, settling, pests, other trades working on the building, or anyone else modifying, cleaning or repairing the system. Separately, the site promises a "100% satisfaction guarantee" on its services. The FAQ says warranty terms "may vary by location and product type" and are given in writing with your estimate, so read the version on your own quote.
Licensing and insurance
The site describes every team as "licensed and insured" and says each carries liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage. The company does not publish license numbers or the name of its insurer, and we did not find a state license record to quote. Gutter work rules differ by state and city, so ask your local team what license or registration applies where you live and request a certificate of insurance before work starts. On permits, the site's FAQ says most residential gutter jobs don't need one, but some localities do (for example, for drainage tied into underground lines), and the contractor should know the local rules.
What do customers say?
The site reports its Google review figures by market. When we checked on 19 October 2026 it showed:
| Team | Figure shown on the site |
|---|---|
| All five teams | 4.9 across 184 Google reviews |
| Northeast Georgia | 4.8 across 85 reviews |
| Cincinnati, OH | 4.9 across 48 reviews |
| Central Georgia | 5.0 across 20 reviews |
| South Bend, IN | 4.7 across 17 reviews |
| Northwest Georgia | 5.0 across 14 reviews |
These are the company's own displayed figures; each review card links to the original on Google. Themes in the quoted reviews are on-time crews, clear communication, clean-up, and price. One Cincinnati reviewer wrote that the company "was less than half the price of the other two" quotes she got. A single review is one person's experience, so read a few in your own market before you decide.
How it compares with other options
| Option | What you get | Typical trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Top Rated Gutters | Gutter-only specialist; seamless aluminum formed on site; local owner per market; lifetime material and labor warranty; free estimates, video or photo quotes | No fixed price list; only five markets; license numbers not published |
| A roofing company that also does gutters | One contractor for roof and gutters, useful during a roof replacement | Gutters may be a side line; warranty terms vary |
| A national gutter-guard brand | A single branded guard system, often with a long product warranty | Usually guard-focused; pricing and sales process vary |
| A handyman or small cleaning service | Cleaning and small repairs, sometimes cheaper | Often no seamless forming machine; insurance and warranty vary |
| DIY with sectional gutters | Lowest material cost | Ladder risk; more joints to leak; pitch errors are the common failure, per the company's own guide |
Who it suits, and who should look elsewhere
A good fit if you…
- Live in one of its five markets and want seamless aluminum gutters
- Want a gutter-only company with a named local owner you can call
- Need guards, a tune-up or cleaning on an existing system, not only new gutters
- Own an older Cincinnati home with built-in box gutters
- Manage commercial or multi-building property and want a maintenance contract
- Are a veteran or military family in Central Georgia (ask about the discount)
Look elsewhere if you…
- Are outside Georgia, the Cincinnati area, Northern Kentucky, Northern Indiana or southwest Michigan
- Want a published, fixed price before anyone looks at the house
- Need a full roof replacement: this is a gutter company
- Want copper or another specialty material and your local team doesn't offer it
- Plan to sell soon and want a warranty that passes to the buyer: the warranty page ties it to the original purchaser
Questions to ask before you hire
- Which local team will do my job, and is that the company I'm contracting with?
- Is the quote itemized: gutter size and gauge, linear feet, downspouts, removal, fascia repair, guards?
- What license or registration applies in my city, and can I see your certificate of insurance?
- Will you install 5-inch or 6-inch gutters here, and why?
- Which gutter guard do you recommend for my trees (pine needles behave differently from leaves)?
- What exactly does my written warranty say, and what does a service visit cost after two years?
- If I finance, who is the lender and what are the terms?
- What is the current tune-up flat rate and deposit?
How to get started
- Find your market on the contact page and call that team, or fill in the estimate form with your ZIP code.
- If you'd rather not book a visit first, use the video option on the services page.
- Read the warranty and terms before you accept a quote.
- For an existing system, look at the gutter tune-up; for commercial property, the commercial page.
Terms you'll see on the site
- Seamless gutter: a gutter run formed on site from one continuous piece of aluminum, with joints only at corners and downspouts.
- Sectional gutter: gutter sold in pre-cut lengths (often 10 or 20 feet) and joined with connectors.
- K-style: the most common gutter profile, flat-backed with a decorative front; sold in 5-inch and 6-inch widths.
- Half-round: a rounded gutter profile often used on historic homes.
- Box gutter: a gutter built into the roof structure rather than hung from its edge, common on older homes.
- Fascia: the board along the roof edge that gutters are fastened to.
- Miter: a corner joint where two gutter runs meet.
- Hidden hanger: a bracket inside the gutter that fastens it to the fascia.
- Micro-mesh guard: a gutter guard with a very fine mesh that blocks small debris such as pine needles.
- Reverse-curve (surface-tension) guard: a solid cover that lets water follow its curve into the gutter while leaves slide off.
- Ice dam: a ridge of ice at the roof edge that traps meltwater behind it.
