What Merge offers for MCP

Connectors and Tool Packs

Merge's Agent Handler page describes "pre-built, fully maintained connectors" for enterprise systems. Agents get access to "thousands of pre-built tools," per Merge. Connectors listed on the page include Adobe Workfront, Amazon Seller Central and AWS Partner Central.

You group connectors into Tool Packs. Merge says "agents only see the tools they can call." That keeps tool lists short and limits what each agent can touch.

Built-in authentication

When an agent needs a connector the user has not authorized, Agent Handler "automatically shows" a guided sign-in flow. Merge says you "stay in control of data access" while users connect their own accounts.

Built on MCP

Merge's FAQ says "Agent Handler is built on MCP and works with any agent framework." Individuals can install it as an MCP server, create Tool Packs and connect personal systems. Our guide to MCP authentication and OAuth explains the sign-in flow behind connectors like these.

Who it's for

Merge names three audiences on the product page:

  • Teams building AI agent products, who want production connectors without building them.
  • IT and security teams, who want SCIM provisioning, policy guardrails and an audit trail for employee AI.
  • Individuals, who want to connect their own tools to Claude, Cursor or ChatGPT.

Pricing

Merge's Agent Handler pricing page lists three tiers as of October 2026:

PlanPriceIncluded
Free$02,000 credits a month, unlimited registered users and Tool Packs, pre-built connectors, Discord community
Pro$1,000/mo for 25,000 creditsHigher credit levels up to 100,000 a month; email support; overages billed at month end
EnterpriseCustomOn-prem and other custom deployments, custom connectors, SIEM log streaming, dedicated Slack channel

The FAQ says credits "are consumed as your agents make tool calls." Neither page says how many credits one call uses, so ask before you estimate costs.

Security and trust

Merge's FAQ says "every tool call input and output is scanned for sensitive data." Policy guardrails can "block, redact, or mask sensitive data before it reaches a model or third-party system."

The same answer says Merge "runs regular penetration tests, weekly automated security scans, and maintains SOC 2 compliance." Full audit logs come on all plans. Merge's navigation also lists SOC 2, HIPAA and RBAC for its workforce product. Reports sit on its trust center. Our MCP security hub covers what to check.

Alternatives

  • Nango offers MCP auth, agent sessions and usage-based pricing for multi-tenant products.
  • Metorial is a source-available MCP gateway with a large integration catalog.
  • Fastn is an embedded integration platform with a per-tenant MCP gateway.
