This list is part of our best-of MCP lists, within The MCP Guide. Entries are checked against each vendor's own pages; inclusion is editorial and not paid.
The best MCP servers for Claude in 2026 are the official connectors for the tools you already use every day: Google Drive or Microsoft 365 for files and email, Slack for chat, Notion, Atlassian, Asana or Linear for work tracking, HubSpot for CRM, Canva for design and Zapier for everything else.
In Claude, an MCP server is called a connector. You add one from Customize > Connectors in claude.ai or the desktop app. Claude then reads data or takes actions in that tool, and asks for your approval first unless you change the tool's permission.
Claude's directory listed 1,035 connectors when we opened it on 28 October 2026, so the hard part is choosing. This list picks ten official ones and checks each against the vendor's docs. eSEOspace did not test these connectors.
Key Takeaways
- Every Claude plan, including Free, can use connectors, according to Claude's pricing page.
- Free users can add one custom connector by URL; Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise users can add more.
- On Team and Enterprise plans, an Owner adds each connector for the organization before members connect their own accounts.
- You can set each connector tool to Always allow, Needs approval or Blocked, so start write tools on approval.
- Connectors you add in claude.ai also appear in Claude Code when you sign in with the same Claude account.
How we chose
We included a connector only if it passed all of these tests:
- Official. Built or published by the product's own company, or by Anthropic for that product.
- Live and documented. We opened its setup or listing page on 28 October 2026.
- Works in Claude chat. It works in claude.ai or the desktop app, not only in coding tools.
- Clear access model. The docs explain sign-in, permissions or admin approval.
- Clear cost. The docs say what plan is needed, or that there is no separate charge.
We did not include eSEOspace or our clients. Developer servers for coding work are in our Claude Code list, and the best MCP clients list compares Claude with other apps.

1. Google Drive: search and read your files
What it is. Claude's Google Drive page says "Google builds and runs the connector." Claude can search your Drive, list recent files, check who a file is shared with, and read its content. It can also create new files.
It reads Google Docs, Sheets and Slides, PDFs, Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, and PNG or JPEG images. It cannot read comments or suggested edits. Gmail and Google Calendar have their own connectors.
Best for: Teams that keep briefs, budgets and reports in Google Workspace.
Pricing: No separate charge is listed on Claude's page. You need a Google account. Our Google Drive connect guide walks through setup.
Pros
- Built and run by Google.
- Reads most office file types.
- Each person signs in with their own account, so they see only their own files.
Cons
- Cannot see comments or suggestions.
- Very large files may come through incomplete.

2. Microsoft 365: Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams
What it is. The Microsoft 365 listing shows a connector built by Anthropic that covers SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook and Teams. It searches documents, reviews email threads and pulls insights from calendar and chat data.
The listing says it respects existing Microsoft 365 permissions. It "Requires a work or school account," so personal outlook.com or hotmail.com accounts do not work.
Best for: Companies that run on Microsoft 365 rather than Google Workspace.
Pricing: No separate charge is listed. You need a Microsoft 365 work or school account.
Pros
- One connector for four Microsoft products.
- Respects existing Microsoft permissions.
- Anthropic verified.
Cons
- No personal Microsoft accounts.
- The listing's tools are mostly search and read, so it is less useful for making changes.
Checked against: Claude Microsoft 365 listing on 28 October 2026.
3. Slack: search team conversations
What it is. Claude's Slack page describes two products. The Slack connector lets Claude in claude.ai "search your workspace's channels, direct messages, and files." The separate Claude in Slack app puts Claude inside Slack.
The connector is available on Team and Enterprise plans and needs the app installed first. Claude's docs now point to Claude Tag as the current Slack product.
Best for: Teams that want Claude to find past decisions buried in Slack threads.
Pricing: Requires a Claude Team or Enterprise plan. The Claude in Slack app needs a paid Slack plan and admin approval. See our Slack connect guide.
Pros
- Searches channels, DMs and files.
- Admin-controlled rollout.
- Conversations in Slack stay separate from claude.ai history.
Cons
- Not available on Free, Pro or Max.
- Two-step setup across Slack and Claude.
Checked against: Claude Slack integration docs on 28 October 2026.
4. Notion: read and update your workspace
What it is. Notion's MCP docs describe a "remote MCP server hosted by Notion" that signs in with OAuth. Claude can search content, read and update pages you can access, and create pages and databases.
Workspace owners manage which clients can connect, and "Limiting which clients members can connect needs the Enterprise plan."
Best for: Teams that run their wiki, meeting notes or content calendar in Notion.
Pricing: The docs list no separate MCP price. Some features, such as searching connected sources, need Notion Business or Enterprise with Notion AI, per Notion's help center. More detail is in our Notion MCP server profile.
Pros
- Hosted by Notion, so nothing to install.
- Reads and writes.
- Admin API can list and revoke member connections.
Cons
- Client restrictions need Enterprise.
- Write access means mistakes reach real pages.
Checked against: Notion MCP docs on 28 October 2026.
5. Atlassian Rovo MCP Server: Jira and Confluence
What it is. Atlassian's getting started page says it can "Summarize and search Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Bitbucket, Projects, Goals, and more." Claude is a listed client.
It uses OAuth 2.1, with API tokens as an option. Atlassian advises you to "Use least privilege, review high-impact changes before confirming, and monitor audit logs."
Best for: Teams that plan in Jira and document in Confluence.
Pricing: MCP calls use Rovo credits from your organization's shared pool, and "credit usage is per call." Atlassian also says existing v1 usage moves to v2 tools on 1 March 2027. See our Atlassian connect guide.
Pros
- Covers most of Atlassian's cloud products.
- Acts with each user's existing permissions.
- OAuth 2.1 by default.
Cons
- Each call uses Rovo credits.
- A v1 to v2 tool change is coming in 2027.
Checked against: Atlassian Rovo MCP getting started on 28 October 2026.
6. Asana: tasks and projects
What it is. Asana's MCP docs describe a V2 server at https://mcp.asana.com/v2/mcp. It lists the Asana app in Claude and works with other clients that support "OAuth authentication and Streamable HTTP transport."
The old beta V1 endpoint is deprecated and is being shut down. Example requests include creating a task in a project.
Best for: Marketing and operations teams that track work in Asana.
Pricing: The page names no required plan. Enterprise+ and Legacy Enterprise customers can allow or block MCP clients through app management.
Pros
- Official app inside Claude.
- OAuth sign-in with your own account.
- Admin allow and block lists on top tiers.
Cons
- Older V1 setups must move to V2.
- Client controls are limited to Enterprise tiers.
Checked against: Asana MCP docs on 28 October 2026.
7. Linear: issues and roadmaps
What it is. Linear's MCP docs say you can "Connect to our MCP server natively in Claude, Cursor, and other clients." The main endpoint gives read and write access.
A separate endpoint at https://mcp.linear.app/mcp/readonly "only ever exposes read tools." In Claude, Team and Enterprise users connect from claude.ai, while Free and Pro users add it in the desktop app's connector settings.
Best for: Product and engineering teams that plan in Linear.
Pricing: The docs describe no plan-based limits on MCP features. Our Linear connect guide covers setup.
Pros
- Dedicated read-only endpoint.
- Setup documented for Free, Pro, Team and Enterprise.
- OAuth 2.1 with API key fallback.
Cons
- Setup differs by Claude plan.
- The default endpoint allows writes.
Checked against: Linear MCP docs on 28 October 2026.
8. HubSpot: CRM records and marketing data
What it is. HubSpot's Claude connector guide says it reads contacts, companies, deals, tickets, marketing emails and blog posts. It can create and update records such as contacts, deals, notes and tasks.
It "does not support delete operations." Bulk changes are capped at 10 records at a time. Custom Sensitive Data properties are excluded.
Best for: Sales and marketing teams that live in HubSpot.
Pricing: Available with "All products and plans" on the HubSpot side. HubSpot says you need "a paid Anthropic subscription" (Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise). See our HubSpot connect guide.
Pros
- Works on every HubSpot plan.
- No delete actions, which limits damage.
- Super Admins approve who can connect.
Cons
- Not available on Claude Free.
- Cannot read Sensitive Data properties.
Checked against: HubSpot connector for Claude on 28 October 2026.
9. Canva: create and export designs
What it is. The Canva listing says it is "Made by Canva" and carries an Anthropic verified badge. It lets you "Search, create, autofill, and export Canva designs."
Its tools also manage folders, add comment threads and import designs from a URL. You sign in with your Canva account.
Best for: Marketers who want first drafts of social posts or presentations from a chat.
Pricing: The listing does not name a plan or a separate price; you sign in with a Canva account. See our Canva connect guide.
Pros
- Built by Canva.
- Creates and exports, not just reads.
- Anthropic verified.
Cons
- The listing does not say which Canva plans unlock which tools.
- Results still need a human design check.
Checked against: Claude Canva listing on 28 October 2026.
10. Zapier: one connector for many apps
What it is. The Zapier listing says it is made by Zapier and links Claude to roughly 9,000 apps. It can "Search knowledge across your apps and execute real-world actions," such as sending emails or updating a CRM.
It is useful when the app you need has no official connector of its own.
Best for: Small businesses with many tools and no developer.
Pricing: Zapier's docs say "Each successful tool call uses two tasks from your Zapier plan."
Pros
- Reaches apps with no connector.
- Anthropic verified.
- Search and actions in one connector.
Cons
- Every call uses Zapier tasks.
- Adds a third party between Claude and your apps.
Checked against: Claude Zapier listing on 28 October 2026.
How to roll connectors out safely
Start with read-heavy connectors such as Google Drive or Microsoft 365. Add write-capable ones like HubSpot or Notion later, with their write tools set to Needs approval. Claude's connector docs show where to set those permissions.
For a service not in the directory, you can add its server URL as a custom connector. Claude's custom connector page warns that these connect Claude to unverified services, so only add servers from organizations you trust.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use connectors on the free Claude plan?
Yes. Claude's pricing page marks connectors as available on Free. Free users can add one custom connector by URL. Some connectors, such as Slack, need a Team or Enterprise plan.
Where do I add a connector in Claude?
Go to Customize > Connectors in claude.ai or the Claude desktop app. Select Discover to browse the directory, then Connect to Claude. On Team and Enterprise plans, an Owner must add it for the organization first.
Is a connector the same as an MCP server?
Yes, in practice. Claude's docs call a remote MCP server a connector. Local servers that run on your computer are installed in the desktop app as desktop extensions.
Can I stop Claude from changing data?
Yes. For each connector, set tool permissions to Needs approval or Blocked under Customize > Connectors. You can also turn a connector off for a single chat from the + menu.
Do connectors work in Claude Code?
Yes. Claude's docs say connectors you add in claude.ai are available in Claude Code when you sign in with your Claude account. You can turn them off per project.
