What Workato offers for MCP
Prebuilt MCP servers
Workato's MCP page lists production-ready servers for Gong, Jira, Slack, Salesforce, Gmail, Zendesk, Stripe and ServiceNow ITSM, among others. It does not give a total. Elsewhere the page cites both "14,000+ apps" and "12,000+ apps" for the wider platform, so check the server list for the app you need.
Your automations as MCP servers
Many Workato customers already run recipes, which are its automated workflows. The page says you can turn "existing Recipe Functions and Skills into MCP servers with zero code." That lets an AI agent trigger a tested business process instead of calling raw APIs. It also means the agent follows rules your team already approved.
Identity, governance and audit
Verified User Access means "agent actions inherit the authenticated user's identity, enforcing role-based access control." Access policies "route agent requests based on authenticated user context." Admins manage every MCP server from one console. Workato says you can "track every agent request, response, and system event with searchable logs."
Supported clients
Workato says its MCP "works with Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, Workato Genies, Cursor, and any MCP-compatible agent." Genies are Workato's own AI agents.
Availability
Workato's MCP docs say "MCP is available to all users in the US, EU, AU, JP, SG, IL, KR, and UK data centers," but not in the CN data center. They add that Verified User Access uses "authenticated end-user credentials for external API calls instead of static tokens." For plan details, the docs point you to your Customer Success representative.
Who it's for
Workato fits mid-size and large companies that want agents to run approved business processes, with audit logs for compliance. It suits IT and operations teams more than individual users. If your needs are simpler, a no-code tool like Zapier may be enough; see our Zapier MCP Server profile.
Pricing
Workato's pricing page shows no prices for any edition. It lists four editions: Standard, Business MCP, Enterprise MCP and Workato ONE. Business MCP is the first to include "Pre-Built MCP servers" and an "AI/MCP Gateway," and each higher edition builds on it. Standard lists no MCP features.
The sales path is "Schedule a demo," and add-ons are "Get a quote." A "Start for free" link leads to a trial sign-up. The page notes plan structures "may vary based on your contract terms."
Security and trust
Workato's MCP page says its logs "support compliance requirements" but names no certifications. Verified User Access is the main control: the agent can do only what the signed-in user could do. Ask Workato for its current compliance reports during your demo. For the questions to ask any vendor, see our MCP governance guide for IT leaders.

Frequently asked questions
Does Workato support MCP?
Yes. Workato's Enterprise MCP offers prebuilt MCP servers and lets you turn existing recipes into MCP servers. It works with Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients, per Workato.
How much does Workato MCP cost?
Workato does not publish prices. MCP features start at the Business MCP edition, and you get pricing through a demo or quote.
What is Verified User Access?
It is Workato's name for running agent actions under the signed-in user's identity. The agent inherits that person's roles, so it can't do more than they can.

Yes, per Workato. It says you can convert Recipe Functions and Skills into MCP servers with zero code, without rebuilding integrations.
