Best Magento SEO Experts in 2026-2027

Disclosure: eSEOspace publishes this blog and ranks itself first. Every other entry was researched independently and links to its own site.

Magento SEO is not really SEO. It is platform engineering that happens to be measured in rankings.

That is the single most useful thing to understand before you hire anyone. On Shopify, a competent SEO can fix most of what is wrong from the admin panel. On Magento 2 and Adobe Commerce, the problems that actually suppress your organic revenue live in layered navigation configuration, in the URL rewrite table, in indexer settings, in cache warming, in how many attribute combinations your faceted search is allowed to generate, and in a theme that ships a megabyte of render-blocking JavaScript before a customer sees a product image. An agency that cannot open the codebase cannot fix any of that. It can only write you a document about it.

So this list is weighted toward teams that can prove Magento-specific capability, not teams that list Magento among fourteen platforms on a services grid. Eight entries. Every claim about the seven independent agencies comes from their own public pages, and where a page states a figure we say so and attribute it. Where a founding year, a headcount, a review score or a client name was not verifiable at source, it is left out rather than guessed at, and in a couple of cases the gaps are worth noticing in their own right.

Key Takeaways

  • Magento SEO problems are usually engineering problems. If your shortlist cannot commit code, you are buying recommendations, not results.
  • Faceted navigation is the number one killer on large Magento catalogs. Uncontrolled filter combinations can generate enormous numbers of near-duplicate URLs and drain crawl budget away from the pages that sell.
  • Adobe Solution Partner status is rarer on these pages than you would expect. Only one agency on this list states it outright, and several strong candidates do not mention Adobe partnership at all.
  • Geography still matters for Magento work. Adobe Commerce retains a heavier footprint in Europe than in the US mid-market, and several of the deepest specialist teams are UK, Spanish or Polish.
  • Self-reported numbers are everywhere in this category. Review scores, headcounts, GMV totals and RoI multiples appear on agency sites without third-party corroboration. Treat them as marketing until someone shows you the source.
  • Almost nobody publishes pricing. One agency on this list states an indicative monthly range on its Magento page. Everyone else makes you get on a call before you learn anything about cost.
  • If a Magento replatform is anywhere on your two-year roadmap, hire the SEO before the migration, not after. Post-migration recovery costs more than pre-migration planning and rarely gets back to parity.
  • The best structural setup is one team that owns the store build, the organic strategy and the conversion work, because that is where the handoff losses disappear.

How we evaluated these Magento SEO experts

We ranked on evidence a buyer can check before signing anything.

Verifiable Magento specificity. Does the agency run a dedicated Magento 2 or Adobe Commerce SEO service page that names real platform problems, or is Magento a logo in a platform carousel? Generic ecommerce copy scored low. Pages that discuss layered navigation, indexers, multi-store architecture or crawl budget scored high.

Implementation ability. Can they ship the fix, or do they hand you a ticket and wish you luck? Magento SEO stalls constantly because the agency writes the brief and the client's dev shop never prioritizes it. Teams with in-house Magento engineering were rated above teams that outsource.

Catalog scale experience. A 400 SKU store and a 400,000 SKU multi-store B2B instance are different disciplines. We looked for stated experience with large catalogs, multi-storefront setups and B2B configurations.

Migration and replatform competence. Magento merchants move: from Magento 1, to Hyvä, to headless, or off the platform entirely. Agencies that treat migration SEO as a core service were rated above those that do not mention it.

Adjacent demand capability. Organic search alone does not carry an ecommerce P&L. We gave weight to teams that also handle AI search visibility, digital PR, content and conversion rate optimization for ecommerce, because ranking a category page that converts at 0.4 percent is not a win.

Honesty of claims. Where a figure appeared only on the agency's own marketing pages, we labeled it as self-reported. Where two claims on the same site contradicted each other, we said so.

1. eSEOspace

eSEOspace has been building and marketing ecommerce sites since 2019, and the reason it sits at the top of its own list is structural rather than boastful: the people who build the store and the people who grow its organic revenue are the same people.

That matters more on Magento than on any other platform. The classic Magento failure pattern is a three-party standoff. A development partner owns the codebase. A separate SEO agency owns the strategy. The merchant owns the backlog. The SEO agency files a ticket asking for canonical handling on filtered category URLs, the dev partner deprioritizes it behind a checkout bug, and a year and a half later the site still has a filter permutation problem nobody has touched. Nobody is at fault and nothing gets fixed.

Our ecommerce work covers ecommerce design and development end to end, and our search work covers ecommerce SEO from technical architecture through category and product content. Because those sit in one team, decisions that are normally retrofitted get made during the build: how the category taxonomy maps to demand, which filters are allowed to produce indexable URLs, how product schema is generated, how internal linking flows equity from editorial content to money pages, and how page performance is protected as merchandising features accumulate.

We also treat conversion and analytics as part of the same job rather than as a separate engagement. Ranking a category page is only half a result. Knowing what the traffic did after it landed, and fixing the friction that stopped it converting, is the other half.

Best for: mid-market merchants who want one accountable team for the storefront, the organic strategy and the conversion work, and who are tired of the build-versus-growth handoff.

Worst fit: a very large enterprise Adobe Commerce instance that needs a dedicated bench of platform engineers on standby for a multi-year roadmap. If that is your situation, hire a specialist systems integrator and bring us in for demand.

2. NOVOS

NOVOS is an ecommerce-focused search agency, founded in 2018 and based in the United Kingdom, and it runs a dedicated Magento and Adobe Commerce service line rather than treating Magento as a footnote. Its pitch is technical-first: index cleanup, site architecture, and filter and facet configuration on Magento 2, sitting alongside digital PR, paid media and AI search.

The retail concentration is the real differentiator. An agency whose client base is almost entirely online retail has seen the same category-taxonomy and faceted-navigation problems dozens of times, which shortens diagnosis dramatically. The company displays a strong consumer-brand roster on its own Magento SEO page, including Lush, Bloom & Wild, Osprey, Ruggable, Heal's, TALA, Stussy, Adidas, Vitabiotics, OPUMO, Antler and LED Save.

Its about page frames the business as employee-owned since 2022, with a stated 40-plus employee co-owners and a second UK office in Sheffield opened in 2026. It describes itself as moving toward a full agentic-ready search agency that owns the whole discovery stage for ecommerce clients. That is a sensible read on where retail search is heading, and it makes NOVOS a good fit for brands that want traditional organic and AI-answer visibility handled together.

Two things to check in a pitch. The site references 40-plus award wins and nominations across programmes including the UK Search Awards, the Global Search Awards, the European Search Awards and The Drum Awards, but wins and nominations are combined into one number, so ask which are which and in which categories. No Adobe Solution Partner status was stated on the pages we opened. Ask directly about engineering capacity too, because a technical-first pitch needs hands that can implement, and nothing on the public pages quantifies the development bench.

Best for: consumer and DTC retail brands on Magento 2 or Adobe Commerce that want SEO, digital PR and AI search visibility from one ecommerce-specialist team.

Worst fit: B2B, industrial and distributor catalogs with no consumer brand story to promote. Digital PR is a large part of the value here, and it does not translate cleanly to a fastener catalog.

3. IWD Agency

IWD Agency is the most explicitly engineering-led team on this list, and it is the only entry that states Adobe Solution Partner status outright. Founded in 2008, headquartered in Austin, Texas, with additional offices listed in Barcelona, São Paulo and Warsaw, it says it has worked on Magento SEO since 2009.

Its positioning is blunt and, in our view, correct: developers run the SEO. Adobe-certified engineers make code-level fixes for faceted-navigation duplication, Core Web Vitals and crawl-budget waste, and the agency contrasts that explicitly against link spam. It also states that engagements are staffed by the same senior team from kickoff to launch and beyond, and that it does not outsource. That last commitment is the one to press on in a sales call, because it is the difference between a fix landing in a sprint and a fix landing in a PDF.

If your Magento SEO problem is really a platform problem, and on large catalogs it usually is, this is the profile you want. Layered navigation generating garbage URLs, indexation bloat, a theme that fails Core Web Vitals under load: those are fixed in code, not in a content calendar. The brand logos displayed on the company's own pages include Rolex, Intel, YETI, Asics, Siemens, Marucci, Penn State and Purdue University, though the site does not state which of those were SEO engagements versus development engagements. Worth asking. Published case studies are more specific and skew industrial and B2B, covering merchants such as Inyo Pools, Penn State Extension and DMC.

The headline numbers are company claims shown on-site rather than independently audited: 300-plus brands served, more than ten billion dollars in client GMV, a 94 percent client retention rate, and a 4.8 out of 5 rating from 800-plus verified client reviews. No total team size is stated anywhere we looked, which is the one gap that matters most given the whole pitch rests on engineering capacity.

Best for: enterprise and large-catalog Adobe Commerce stores whose SEO problems are engineering problems, and who want the fixes implemented rather than delivered as a recommendations deck.

Worst fit: a small merchant with a clean 500 SKU catalog whose real gap is content depth and topical authority. You would be paying engineering rates for work that does not need engineers.

4. OuterBox

OuterBox is one of the longest-established US ecommerce SEO and development firms on this list, founded in 2004 in Akron, Ohio, with additional offices in Houston and Rochester, Minnesota. It runs a dedicated Magento SEO service page.

The model is SEO bundled with platform support: audit and roadmap, crawl and indexation control, Core Web Vitals work, URL structure and canonicalization, product variant handling, template optimization, and reporting tied to revenue rather than to rankings alone. That last point deserves credit. Revenue-tied reporting is not universal in this category and it changes which recommendations get prioritized.

Migration and release support is the strongest practical reason to shortlist OuterBox. Merchants moving from Magento 1, upgrading major Magento 2 versions, or replatforming entirely need someone who treats redirect mapping, template parity and staged release testing as SEO deliverables. Plenty of agencies discover the problem after traffic drops.

The caveats are about verification rather than capability. No named Magento clients appeared on the pages we opened; the site cites "1,000+ Successful Client Partnerships" instead, which tells you nothing about vertical fit. Google Premier Partner and Microsoft Advertising Select Partner badges are shown, but no Adobe partnership was stated on the pages we reviewed, which is a notable absence for a firm selling Adobe Commerce work. The "300+ USA-Based, In-House Experts" headcount is a self-reported on-site claim. Clutch, Forbes Advisor and Inc. 5000 badges are displayed without an accompanying numeric review count you can trace. Ask for two Magento references in your vertical.

Best for: US B2B and B2C merchants who want a large in-house team that can both diagnose Magento SEO issues and ship the code, particularly around replatforming and migration windows.

Worst fit: buyers who need every credential independently verified before signing. The claims are large and the public corroboration is thin.

5. 1Digital Agency

1Digital Agency is a Philadelphia-born, remote-first ecommerce agency founded in 2012, running a Magento SEO practice it dates to the same year and covering both Magento 1 and Magento 2 alongside Shopify Plus, BigCommerce and WooCommerce.

The interesting part of its positioning is deliberate platform-agnosticism. It refuses to be locked into any one platform, and it pairs Magento SEO with in-house Magento development capability including Hyvä themes, PWA Studio, and headless builds on Next.js and React over GraphQL. That combination is genuinely useful right now. A meaningful share of Magento merchants are either moving to Hyvä for performance reasons or quietly evaluating an exit from the platform. An agency fluent in both Magento and the likely destination platforms can advise on that honestly, because it does not lose the account either way.

Hyvä capability in particular is worth flagging. Front-end performance is one of the two or three largest technical SEO levers on Magento, and Hyvä migrations are where a lot of that gain is currently being captured. The site also names Adobe Commerce features that generalists tend to skip, including Live Search, Page Builder, Multi-Source Inventory and the B2B module, which is a reasonable proxy for real platform time.

On verification: the site cites 400-plus brands on its Magento SEO page and 438 on its about page, but names no clients on either. Google Partner, BigCommerce Elite Partner and Shopify Plus Partner statuses are stated; Adobe partnership is not. The "50+" team figure and the 4.9 out of 5 across 941-plus verified reviews score are self-reported. The site also states both "Since 2012" and "15 years" on the same page, which do not reconcile.

Best for: mid-market merchants who want Magento SEO from a team that also builds on the platform, and brands weighing a future move off Magento who want an agency fluent in where they might land.

Worst fit: enterprise Adobe Commerce programs where procurement requires a named Adobe Solution Partner on the vendor list.

6. SEOCOM

SEOCOM is a Spanish search agency with offices in Barcelona and Madrid, describing itself on its about page as a specialised SEO and GEO agency operating since 2008. Its Magento 2 and Adobe Commerce page is one of the more technically honest ones we read. It addresses the issues that actually bite on large Magento builds: performance and Core Web Vitals work touching ElasticSearch, Varnish, Redis and the database; layered-navigation and crawl-budget control; multi-store and multi-language architecture; B2B store configuration; schema markup; and catalogs above ten thousand products.

Multi-store architecture is the reason to shortlist SEOCOM specifically. Magento's ability to run multiple store views, websites and languages from one instance is a genuine strength and an SEO minefield: hreflang across store views, canonical handling between websites sharing a catalog, and duplicate product content across regional storefronts. Agencies that name multi-store as a competency are a minority, and European merchants hit these problems constantly.

The B2B store configuration angle matters too. Adobe Commerce B2B features like company accounts, requisition lists and negotiable quotes interact awkwardly with crawlability, and gated content decisions made by sales teams routinely remove revenue pages from the index without anyone noticing.

One structural detail to clarify before signing: the page offers to coordinate either with your existing Magento technical partner or with SEOCOM's own specialists, so confirm in writing which model your engagement uses and who actually deploys. The "+30 in-house team" figure, the 500 completed projects and 95 percent retention headlines, and the traffic-uplift percentages attached to the Giorgi, RACE and Gallina Blanca case studies are all agency-reported and unaudited. No Adobe Solution Partner status was stated.

Best for: Spanish and wider European merchants running multi-store or B2B Adobe Commerce setups, where catalog scale and multi-storefront architecture are the main constraints.

Worst fit: US-only merchants who want a domestic team in a matching time zone and no language overhead in day-to-day communication.

7. POLARIS

POLARIS is a UK search agency based at Chalfont Park in Gerrards Cross, that describes itself as a specialist GEO, AI Search and SEO agency and runs a dedicated Adobe Commerce SEO landing page. Its about page states it has been partnering with brands since 2009 and lists additional locations in Ireland and the US.

Its framing is that Adobe Commerce stores often grapple with intricate technicalities, and it sells on-page optimization, platform-specific technical SEO, structured data, content development and ongoing performance monitoring, with website migrations, digital PR, B2B SEO and analytics consulting as adjacent services. The GEO and AI search emphasis is the differentiator. If you believe a growing share of product discovery will happen inside generative answers rather than in a blue-link results page, an agency that has already restructured its practice around that is worth a conversation. Brand logos displayed on its own Adobe Commerce page include Dune London, Virginia Hayward, Blitzsport, Mars, Benefit Cosmetics and Goddiva, though the page does not state which are Adobe Commerce engagements specifically.

We have to be direct about the claims, because they are the weak point. The Adobe Commerce page advertises £400m driven in sales, a 2,400 percent average RoI and "20+ years" of ecommerce SEO expertise, while the about page says "since 2009" and "over 15 years." Those three numbers cannot all be describing the same company history, and none of them are audited. Team size and Adobe partnership are not stated on the pages we opened, and an attempt to corroborate the client logos via a /clients/ URL returned a 404. None of that means the work is weak. It does mean you should ask for one case study with the underlying analytics access, not a slide.

Best for: UK and European retail and fashion brands on Adobe Commerce that want organic search covered alongside AI-search and generative-engine visibility, and merchants planning a migration.

Worst fit: buyers with a low tolerance for unverifiable performance marketing. The internal inconsistencies will bother you.

8. Delante

Delante is an international search agency headquartered in Kraków, Poland, with additional offices listed in New York, London and Umm Al Quwain. It maintains a standing Magento SEO service page and describes an SEO process built specifically around the platform: initial audit, keyword selection, technical optimization, content, link building and monthly reporting.

The wider agency positions itself as an award-winning international search agency spanning SEO, SEM and AI, with technical SEO, content marketing, link building, development and analytics delivered in-house. For merchants selling into several European language markets, that combination is the draw: one Central European team covering organic, paid and content across markets, at rates that are typically well below UK or US equivalents.

The multi-language angle is not trivial on Magento. Store-view-level content, translated attribute values, localized URL keys and hreflang consistency are where cross-border Magento SEO usually breaks, and a team operating natively across European languages has a real structural advantage over an English-first agency subcontracting translation.

Delante also does something almost nobody else in this category does: it publishes an indicative price. Its Magento SEO page puts a typical monthly campaign in the one to two thousand dollar range, which at least lets you sanity-check fit before a discovery call. Whether that band survives contact with a 200,000 SKU multi-store instance is a fair question to ask on that call.

The evidence gaps are the reason it sits eighth rather than higher, not the quality of the pitch. No founding year is stated on either page we opened. The about page names individual team members across SEO, content, SEM, development, sales, marketing, finance and HR, roughly eighty people in total, but gives no official headcount. Adobe Solution Partner status is not stated. Clutch and Google review badges are displayed on the Magento page. EDUopinions and Orient Display appear in testimonials there, but the pages do not confirm they are Magento clients specifically as opposed to general SEO clients, and the Magento case studies are described by sector, automotive ecommerce, financial services and household goods, without company names.

Best for: merchants wanting Magento SEO delivered alongside paid search and content from a single Central European team, especially those targeting multiple European language markets.

Worst fit: merchants who require named, verifiable Magento case studies in their own vertical before committing budget.

Frequently asked questions

Why is faceted navigation the first thing every Magento SEO wants to talk about?

Because on a large catalog it can generate an effectively unlimited number of URLs. Magento's layered navigation lets shoppers combine attributes freely: color, size, brand, price band, material, and any custom attribute a merchandiser adds. Every combination can produce a crawlable URL with near-identical content. On a large store with eight filterable attributes, that is not a rounding error, it is an enormous surface of low-value pages competing with your real category pages and consuming the crawl budget that should be going to new products. The fix is a deliberate policy about which filter combinations are indexable, which are canonicalized, and which are blocked outright, and it has to be implemented in configuration and code rather than described in a document.

Do I need an Adobe Solution Partner?

Not always, but it changes the risk profile. On this list only IWD Agency states Adobe Solution Partner status on the pages we reviewed, and several agencies with obvious Magento depth do not mention Adobe partnership at all. For an Adobe Commerce enterprise license with a complex B2B configuration and a formal procurement process, partner status is often a practical requirement and gives you access to escalation paths that non-partners lack. For Magento Open Source on a mid-market catalog, demonstrated Magento 2 experience matters far more than the badge.

Should I fix SEO before or after a Magento migration?

Before, without exception. The most expensive engagements we see are post-migration recoveries, where a merchant moved to a new Magento version, a new theme, or off Magento entirely, and lost a large share of organic traffic overnight because URL structures changed without redirect mapping, or because the new theme dropped structured data and internal linking that the old one carried. Pre-migration work costs a fraction of that: crawl the old site, map every ranking URL to a destination, preserve template-level SEO elements, and stage the release so you can compare parity before DNS changes. Recovery after the fact often plateaus below the previous baseline.

How much does Magento SEO actually cost?

Almost nobody in this category publishes a rate card. Delante is the exception on this list, quoting an indicative monthly band on its Magento SEO page. The rest make you get on a call, and we are not going to invent numbers for them. What we can tell you is the shape of the pricing. Technical-first Magento engagements from engineering-led agencies cost meaningfully more per hour than content-led SEO retainers, because you are paying certified developers rather than strategists. Central and Southern European agencies typically price below US and UK equivalents for comparable scope. And the audit is almost never the expensive part; implementation is. Ask every shortlisted agency the same question: what is included in the retainer versus billed as development, and who commits the code. The answers will vary more than the headline monthly figure.

Is Magento still worth investing SEO budget into, or should I replatform first?

If you are on Magento 2 or Adobe Commerce and the store works, invest in SEO now. The platform is fully capable of ranking; the reason most Magento stores underperform is configuration and performance debt, not an inherent ceiling. If you are still on Magento 1, that is a different conversation, because you are running unsupported software with security exposure and no upgrade path, and SEO spend on a store you will replace within a year is largely wasted. The middle case is a Magento 2 store on a bloated legacy theme, where a Hyvä front-end migration frequently delivers more measurable SEO gain than six months of content would.

Can one agency really handle SEO, development and conversion, or should I split the work?

Splitting is the default in this industry and it is the source of most stalled Magento projects. The SEO agency identifies a problem, the development partner owns the queue, and nothing moves. That said, splitting is defensible when scale demands it: a large enterprise instance genuinely needs a dedicated platform engineering team, and pairing that with a specialist demand agency is a reasonable structure. For most mid-market merchants, a single accountable team is faster and cheaper, because the arguments about priority happen internally instead of across a contract boundary.

The conclusion

The honest summary of this category is that Magento SEO buyers are choosing between two profiles, and most of them choose wrong.

The first profile is the engineering-led agency: IWD Agency most clearly, OuterBox and 1Digital Agency with development capability attached. You hire these when your organic problem is structural. Filters generating junk URLs, a theme failing Core Web Vitals, indexers misconfigured, a migration on the calendar. They will fix things that a content team physically cannot.

The second profile is the demand-led agency: NOVOS, POLARIS and Delante, with SEOCOM sitting between the two. You hire these when the platform is broadly healthy and the gap is visibility, authority, content depth or AI-answer presence. They will grow traffic that an engineering team would never have gone after.

Diagnose which problem you have before you take a single sales call, because both profiles will tell you they can solve either one. Run a crawl. Count your indexable URLs against your SKU count. Check your Core Web Vitals on a category page with six filters applied. If those numbers are ugly, hire engineers. If they are fine and your revenue is still flat, hire demand.

One more habit worth building while you shortlist. Every number in this article that came from an agency's own site is labelled as coming from that site, and you should hold your shortlist to the same standard in writing. Ask which of the displayed logos were SEO engagements rather than development engagements. Ask whether a review score aggregates one platform or four. Ask whether a headcount includes contractors. The agencies that answer those questions crisply are usually the ones whose numbers were accurate in the first place.

And whichever you choose, insist on one thing: name the person who commits the code. Magento SEO recommendations are cheap. Magento SEO implementation is the entire job.

If you want a second opinion on which of those two problems you actually have, book a call and we will tell you plainly, including when the right answer is one of the other seven agencies on this list.
